I noticed that nearly all of the spell caster builds have either pm or RDD in them so I thought I would create a pure caster without either of those classes... Tell me what you think.

Race:Human...for the feat and extra skill point/lvl
36 Sorc/4Pal
Lawful Good

Str 13
Dex 10
Con 10
Wis 10
Int 14
Cha 17

Class/Levels Notes
1 Sorcerer(1) Combat Casting, Power Attack
2 Paladin (1)
3 Sorcerer(2) Still Spell
4 Paladin (2) Cha +1
5 Sorcerer(3)
6 Paladin (3) Divine Shield
7 Sorcerer(4)
8 Sorcerer(5) Cha +1
9 Paladin (4) Extra Turning
10 Sorcerer(6)
11 Sorcerer(7)
12 Sorcerer(8) Cha+1 Empower Spell
13 Sorcerer(9)
14 Sorcerer(10)
15 Sorcerer(11) Maximize Spell

From here on in keep going Sorcerer levels.. taking

Imp Still Spell I to III
Epic Spells
Imp Combat Casting
Great Cha.. when you get it spare.

Remember Divine shield uses the CHA bonus so an empowerd Eagle's will do wonders as will any +Cha you will have ensuring that you get at least a 11 to 15 AC bonus whilst in effect.

As for equipment aim for gear to improve Cha and AC and remember once you get Auto Still Spell 1 through 3(which should be right after imp combat casting... FULL PLATE and SHIELD and nothing but!!! Thusly an easily defendable combat caster with a large arsenal to play with.

Skills: Concentration, Spellcraft,Heal and Tumble with any spare into lore...although should work out spot on the money if you take a human..

So there you have a pure spell caster without a single prestige clas who should still prove to be a handful.
Oh and a non evil one...
