Equipment: Large shield, mace or club When fully buffed, and with improved expertise switched on, your AC should be 83 or more, this combined with an immunity to critical hits should make you practically invulnerable to all enemies who do not use spells. Due to a high spellcraft you also have pretty good saving throws against spells, making this a pretty powerful character. The only downside is his rather low attack bonus and damage. But because you are a lvl 26 palemaster you have a few powerful summonables to take out your enemies for you, while you stand toe to toe with powerful melee fighters who cannot even harm you. Also, the ability to cast hellball and greater ruin allows you to take out an enemy or two.
(*- balagarn's iron horn, invisibility and the cantrips aren't vital to this build. I just liked the two particular spells.
