level 40 stats : str 32 dex 14 con 14 int 16 wis 10 cha 16 without rerolling I got 377 hp at level 40, and a naked ac of 22 (so with mundane chainmail, 27.) normal saves average low 20s. natural attack bonus : 47/42/37/32 1-8 +16 (17-20/x4) on crit : 4-32 +64 +3d6 + fortitude save or die dr 10 vs all element types, except fire, which he is immune to.
you'll find, if you play him, that your bard song and spells tend to hinder rather then help you at later levels. Wasting your time to increase your attack bonus by 1 and damage by 2, since he's got a str of 25 pre epic, is beating a dead horse and a waste of time. the spells run out too quickly as well, but are essential for lower levels.
I CURSE THE 3 CLASS RESTRICTION! I could have taken 2 levels of fighter pre-20 and gotten devastating critical at level 24! grrrrr! However...
*level 22 makes you feel like god*
variation : for a more caster-ish feel, you can start taking bard again at level 29, and have a level spread of brd 17/rdd 10/wm 13. you will only lose a few points of base attack, and gain an incredibly useful bard song.
suggested feats : lingering song, curse song, remove the energy resistance feats and take whatever feels appropriate, being sure to take the other post level 29 feats listed, minus epic toughness.
non-epic variation : if you are in a non-epic setting, take dragon disciple up to level 10 before starting weapon master. however, this character is not reccomended to stop before epic levels. It's built to peak in advantage gain around the middle of hordes, and gets devastating critical to match the end of the game. It's incredibly effective before then, but works best at low epic levels and above. _________________ Save yourself some arm strain.
