Build name: Defiler of the Silt Sea

Race: human

Alignment: lawful evil

Classes:
6 monk
2 blackguard
32 sorc

Idea of this character is to have a quite high hp for mage and use monks speed as advanatage in combat. At level 6 monk has movement speed 120% and this stacks with haste. (I am not sure if this is a bug, I hope not =)

Blackguard is there to help with saving rolls.
Monk will also give you access to imp knockdown..wich is quite nice.

I tried to imitate Diablo2 HP sorceror I used back in good old times =)

this build is based on necromancy but if server you are playing in has modified death magic I suggest that you go for evocation.

Weakness: When dispelled you need to be really quick to recast your mantle/haste. Another mage that has automatic quicken will have advantage in here. I am planning
a sorc build that has autoquicken, and more monk levels for extra speed, all though it will have less hp but then speeed is very useful in player killing with it you can flee and attack again.

Possible alternatives: one could always reduce charisma a bit and increase con. Banshee DC I got was 40 with current eq of with my character. DC 40 is not that high so basicly
necromancy is not that useful. go instead evocation or leave the whole spell school out and go for auto quicken...dunno.

Total= 436 (naked)
with buffs and eq I got like 600+...not that bad for sorc.

Darksunonline were I am playing in does not allow multiple elemental shields at same time, so I basicly use mestil acid sheat only. If ur server allows them take them all.

True Seeing (TS could be nerfed also, if it is just take detect invisibility from second lvl, if hips is allowed you need to increase your spot/listen skills :/)
IGMS/tensor (IMGS is nerfed in many servers, if not in server you play take it)
Mass Haste/Bigby's hand (bigbys hands are nerfed in many servers, alternative could be acid fog (slows targets) or mass haste which is useful in group pvp etc.

Since nerfs in server I am playing I picked: tensor, mass haste and bigbys hand from this level....


Level 7:
Shadow Shield
Spell Mantle (empower this with your feat, also useful without empower as well, always have it on when in pvp)
Delayed blast fireball (can be extended....quite ok spell)

Level 8:

Premonition/mind blank (if you have lesser mind blank get premo....not necessary spell but quite useful)

You only need 3 levels of monk for that speed boost, and it's not an exploit unless you use expeditious retreat before casting haste: that will make you DM fast. If uninterested in cheating, I reccomend one level of monk followed by 2 levels of blackguard at 38, 39 and 40 respectively. This will secure the evasion class feature and save bonuses from charisma, while shutting down any arguements your DSO buddies may have as to the legitemacy of your build. I love that feat you get as a blackguard at lvl 27:

"Use Potion"


Shame you couldn't fit the feat "Equip armour" in there too! hehe...j/k

Why do I always have to think of a profound signature? Err......that would be use POISON Mustang, and only in PnP, and at a way lower level. Other than that, you are right on the money!
