syrath,

Do you want to reduce the Fighter level taken? If you are taking extra fighter level purely for feat reasons. Ignore this then...

Anyway, I have a suggestion that would be useful... You can get more Dwarven Defender or Shadow Dancer in the build. You only need 6 levels of fighter to get Epic Weapon Specialization.

You take all five pre-epic, all at approriate levels. You might want to do the even numbers of fighter at every feat selection, you will get two feats to select from. This way, you can get all approriate feats for Epic Weapon Specialization.

Fifth fighter level really doesn't matter, just as long it is not after level 20.

When you take 21st level, take the last(the sixth) fighter class in that. You will have option of two feats, one for epic and one from fighter's bonus feat. Take Epic Weapon Focus then Epic Weapon Specialization.

Then you are finished with the fighter class, you will have two extra level to put into either Dwarven Defender or Shadow Dancer class.

I hope this would be helpful...

By the way, great build.

EDIT; I also forgot something... If you want to get more HP, move the Toughness feat to first level, meaning at the character creation. If you did that, you will be able to get 40 HP out of that. Since you took it at second level, that reduces it to 39 HP. Might not make any difference.

You can't. DD requires BAB of +7, so that requires 7 levels of FTR to qualify. Similar situation with SD (except it would require even more levels of FTR because of cross-class skill requirements).

Toughness acts retroactively, so it doesn't matter if you take it at 1st level or 40th level, you still get 40 HPs from it.

I forgot about that part... But it is possible to do this way if you were doing different type of build that doesn't involves high BAB.

Are you sure about that? If I took it at level 2, you would get two extra HP is that what you are saying? Then after that you get one HP for each level taken?

I don't remember that when I did build like that before, I took toughness feat at level 10 and I only got one extra. I guess my version was bugged or something.

Anuis

Anuis Toughness works retroactively , however the whole amount of hitpoints now shows when you level up since the beta patch (it even gets a mention).

Its great when you take a late level and take tougness to see +44 HP.

Syrath What about a couple more fighter levels? Your key epic DD levels are 14, 16, 20, 24, etc... Those are the levels of bonus feats and DR gains. If you go back to 20 DD and 10 fighter it'll net you one more feat. DR increases every 4 levels beyond 10, so 14,18,22

Take your pick from the following CD
a/ It was a typo. Honest.
b/ I have played and tested this build and it works.
c/ It wasnt a mistake , it says that on my character sheet.
d/ Its my build, you build it.
e/ This build can beat your build
f/ oops it should read 41/36/31/26

Hmm, I know the answer is 'f', but I really, really want to pick 'g' (all of the above)!

Is there any way to distribute the SD levels so I won't have my hide/move silently stunted from 27 to 39?

And I'm also wondering if Imp Power Attack is essential for the build, or if there can be alternatives.. The build wasnt built with stealth in mind to be honest, however you could spread out the shadowdancer levels quite easily so that you can keep your stealth/tumble skills maxxed.

As for improved power attack it can be useful to help cut through an opponents DR since this build (due to being dex in nature) doesnt have a high maximum damage. However if you feel that in your world that its not neccassary then feel free to change it.

Syrath uhh yeah have you tested this build? or did you just leave a feat out? Epic dodge requires defensive roll and i dont see that on your list..

Shadow Dancer gets Defensive Roll as a free feat at level 5.

"Well, but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just

Level 5 Defensive Roll
Level 7 Slippery Mind
Level 10 Improved Evasion

They also get uncanny dodge III, darkvision, Hide in plain Sight, summon shadow, shadow daze, shadow evade.

Most of my builds have epic dodge and usually Self Concealment. 10 levels of shadowdancer can be used to fulfil the requirements for both. A further 6 levels of SD taken late in a build can also give 2 bonus Self Concealment feats if you are going for Self Concealment 5.

Syrath Sorry if this is an obtuse question, but how do you distribute the skill points?

Dou you go against class at the beginning to prepare for the Shadowdancer lvls? It says you need 8 move silently, 10 hide and 5 tumble.

I hope this isn't a really obvious thing and thank you for the build.

Yes you need to go against class and pump 2 points into each skill. This is why SD only becomes available on the 18th level. When I did it I stopped when the requirements were met, this was so I could dump the points at level 18 and maximise them for the sake of getting 1 extra AC for level 17 only. It kind of nerfs your skills, but fighter and DD arent exactly skill based in the first place. IIRC you can still max out discipline at the same time.
