This build was inspired by Tengudor's Red Mage build. I really liked the idea of an Arcane and Divine caster, but I wanted something a little more balanced. This build only gets 6th lvl Divine spells, but it gets decent HP and AB, while still managing to get 9th lvl arcane spells, Dev. Crit., Epic Warding, and Epic Weapon Spec.

AC: 10 base
-1 Dex
+8 Full Plate
+3 Tower Shield
+4 Tumble

24 w/ mundane armor

Damage: 1d6 base
+7 Str
+2 Weapon Spec
+4 Epic Weapon Spec
______
14-19 w/ mundane Scimitar

HP: 412 max unbuffed

Note that damage, AB, AC, and all attributes can be buffed significantly higher with all the spells this character gets access to. This character is tough to kill because of his high HP, along with Epic Warding and the ability to heal himself to full health with a single spell. Flame Weapon + Darkfire add quite a bit to his damage, and the various Cleric buffs (Prayer, Bless, Aid, Divine Favor, etc.), add a significant amount as well. Divine Power adds a nice bit to AB, and if that's not enough, you've always got True Strike for a whopping +20 bonus.

Its not that I doubt ya; honest. But without a build order, its seems awfully tight, and others might not be able to duplicate it, so it would be nice if you said how.

For instance, you give Auto-Still 1 as a Wizard bonus feat, and the implication above is that its your 4th bonus feat (makes sense, since you needed the 3 points of Int of your other bonus feats to get 9th level spells first).

So you are level 20 Wizard when taking Auto-Still 1 (at level 36 at the earliest, if your pre-epic levels are correct). So from level 36 to 40, you took Epic Warding, EWS, DevCrit (at lvl 40 you said), and 3 Auto-Still feats, and you had to do it with only one level of Wizard and 3 levels of Fighter left. I can see almost all of that happening, but not all. With a build order it will be more obvious. . .

You're right, you can't take auto-still spell I as a Wizard bonus feat. You would have to take Auto-Still spell I + II as regular feats and then take Auto-Still spell III on your Wizard lvl 20.

As for build order:

pre-epic
(Cleric 11/Fighter 5/Wizard 4)

1-4 Cleric
5 Fighter
6-9 Wizard
10-13 Fighter
14-20 Cleric

Epic
(Cleric 11/Fighter 6/Wizard 23)

21-39 Wizard
40 Fighter

Feats

21 Epic Weapon Focus, Wizard: Great Int I
24 Epic Weapon Spec OR Great Str
26 Wizard: Great Int II
27 Great Str
30 Great Str
31 Wizard: Great Int III
33 Auto-Still Spell I
36 Auto-Still Spell II, Wizard: Auto-Still Spell III
39 Overwhelming Crit, Wizard: Epic Warding
40 Fighter: Dev. Crit.

I had to change the levels around a little, but that should work, on the condition that you can take Epic Weapon Spec on a Wizard level. I am assuming that you can, because it was listed as a general feat in the manual. That said, if the manual is wrong and you can't take Epic Weapon Spec on a Wizard level, just take another Great Str feat instead. You will end up losing 3 points of damage, but you gain 1 point of AB in return, so it's not a bad trade-off. Sorry about the mistake; I've been playing around with this build so much trying to optimize it that I guess I missed a couple things. I'll make sure to include the build order from now on. I doubt if you can take epic weapon spec on wizard level. But still, this character is very good - less versatile then Red Mage, but better in combat. At least that's what I see from the ordinary stats - mind posting his stats when buffed up? It's really important for characters who rely on buffs.

Yeah, I dont think you can either. . .

Cool! Probably for the best; its suprising just how many builds I've made that were seemed okay on paper but once you go through the levels, some subtle thing messes it up.
