This is yet another build for Imp Invis/Epic Dodge, which thanks to syrath I now love, and prefer quite a bit to SC V not only because it saves tons of feats, but because it gives you other buffs including death immunity spells, which I don’t like to leave home without. As usual comments/suggestions are much appreciated.
Phase-Kill seems to walk the edge of another dimension, blinking in and out of sight at will. He has a massive arsenal of spells at his disposal, and laughs as most blades penetrate only his shadow. If spells fail him, he can unleash a fury of blows with twin rapiers, or focused strikes with a single blade.
Race: Elf Starting Stats (Ending Stats) STR 10 DEX 18 (26) CON 11 (12) WIS 11 INT 16 (19) CHA 8
1 Ranger-Weapon Finesse, Favored Enemy: (your choice, I prefer human) 2 Ranger- 3 Ranger-Dodge 4 Ranger-+1 Int 5 Ranger-Favored Enemy: (your choice, I prefer elf) 6 Ranger-Mobility 7 Ranger- 8 Ranger- +1 Int (dex hereafter) 9 Shadowdancer-Improved Critical: (your choice, I prefer rapier. If you wanted, you could go for longbow since you can’t use a shield anyways, and drop weapon finesse for point blank shot and blindfight for rapid shot. The only problem is you can’t do flame weapon, keen blade or greater magic weapon on a bow.) 10 Shadowdancer- 11 Shadowdancer- 12 Shadowdancer-Weapon Focus: (your choice, I prefer rapier.) 13 Shadowdancer- 14 Shadowdancer- 15 Shadowdancer-Toughness 16 Shadowdancer- 17 Wizard- 18 Wizard-Blind Fight 19 Wizard- 20 Wizard- 21 Wizard-Epic Weapon Focus: (your choice, I prefer rapier.), Great Int. I 22 Wizard- 23 Wizard- 24 Wizard-Epic Prowess 25 Wizard- 26 Wizard-Extend Spell 27 Wizard-Armor Skin 28 Wizard- 29 Wizard- 30 Wizard-Epic Fortitude 31 Wizard-Empower Spell 32 Wizard- 33 Wizard-Epic Will 34 Wizard- 35 Shadowdancer- 36 Shadowdancer-Epic Dodge 37 Wizard- 38 Wizard-Maximize Spell 39 Wizard-Epic Spell: Epic Mage Armor 40 Ranger- You get a good number of skills, which I suggest using as follows (with 61 leftover): 35 Tumble 43 Hide 43 Move Silently 43 Concentration 43 Discipline 40 Spellcraft
Final stats: HP: 316 [21*4 (wizard) + 9*8 (ranger) + 10*8 (shadowdancer) + 40 (con) + 40 (toughness)] 27 AC Naked, Unspelled With a mundane rapier, AB (26 BAB): +38/+33/+28/+23, dmg: 1-6 (14-20 x2) Fortitude: 23 (+8 against spells) Reflex: 27 (+8 against spells, plus improved evasion) Will: 24 (+8 against spells, plus slippery mind)
With shield, shadow shield, epic mage armor, flame weapon, greater magic weapon, improved invisibility, mind blank, haste and true seeing, as well as maximized bull’s strength, endurance and cat’s grace:
With all spells, a mundane robe and a mundane rapier, you get: HP: 396 AC: 53 AB: 45/45/40/35/30 (41/41/41/36/36/31/26 if dual wielding rapiers) Damage: 1-6+2(strength)+5(greater magic weapon)+11-14(flame weapon) 25 Fortitude 29 Reflex 24 Will Immune: Mind Spells Necromancy Spells Death Effects
And you have 50% Concealment, Epic Dodge and True Seeing.
You also have shadow evade, but it only lasts 10 rounds I believe.
You can also cast reciprocal damage spells that, if extended, will last 42 rounds. Of course with epic dodge and 50% conceal, you really won’t be getting hit enough for these to be very useful.
You have mordekainen’s disjunction and spell breaches, horrid wilting (25d8) and max. igms, bigby’s line, and anything else you need at your disposal, with 5 spell slots for levels 6-9, 6 spell slots at 2-5, 7 slots at 1, and 4 cantrips.
Pros: Versatility in damage-output as a spellsword, with up to 5 max. igms and decent melee capabilities. Epic Dodge/50% Concealment. Nice AC. Up to 7 attacks per round. Decent saves. Tons of skill points to work with. HIPS and max hide/move silently.
Cons: Low HP and no heals. Low melee damage output, though flame weapon is helpful. _________________ Have I mentioned I hate IGMS?
