Playable from level 1 - 40 ..PvM Build

Hey all,

Been a while since I've written a build, but I thought I'd get back into it with this one. Am keen to try this as a starter character in SOU, actually.

Objective: A stealthy, melee build using some of the feat synergies between Shadowdancer and Weapons Master, particularly common Epic feats.

Ranger - 1-7,21,23,40
SD - 8-12,20,22,27,32,37
WM - 13-19,24-26,28-31,33-36,38,39

Abilities:
STR 14
DEX 16 (26)
CON 12
WIS 12
INT 14
CHA 8

Stats:
AC 28 naked
HP 331 (not maxed)
Fortitude 20
Reflex 30
Will 17
Main Hand: Rapier* +42/37/32/27 (Crit 13-20 / x3)
Off Hand: Shortsword +42/37 (Crit 15-20 / x3)
* will use 2 shortswords until level 30

Skills:
Discipline 43
Hide 43
Listen 43
Move Silently 43
Spot 43
Tumble 40
Search, Lore, or Heal 13
Intimidate 4

Feats:
1 - Dodge, Mobility, Favored Enemy (Undead)
3 - Weapon Focus (Shortsword)
5 - Favored Enemy (Elementals)
6 - Spring Attack
9 - Expertise
12 - Whirlwind Attack
15 - Improved Critical (Shortsword)
18 - Weapon Finesse
21 - Epic Weapon Focus (Shortsword)
24 - Improved Initiative
27 - Superior Initiative
30 - Weapon Focus (Rapier), Weapon of Choice (Rapier)
33 - Improved Whirlwind Attack
34 - Epic Weapon Focus (Rapier)
36 - Improved Critical (Rapier)
38 - Armor Skin
39 - Epic Dodge
40 - Epic Prowess

+: Epic Dodge, Imp. WW Attack, Superior Initative, 2 Weapons of Choice, playable from 1 to 40 IMHO
-: low DEX for a dex-based character, mediocre saves, reliance on critical hits for damage

24 - Improved Initiative
27 - Superior Initiative

Cool.

I'm considering whether or not to take the Initiative feats in a build I'm working on. I've never tried them before. Have you used them previously in PvM and found them useful, or is this build your first experiment with them?

Oh, and for your build name, I get "Swift" but why "Breath"?

Disarm? That means chopping the other guy's arms off, right? Breath = Improved Whirlwind Attack, which was one of the target feats when I started the build (they're both like... air and stuff)

First time experimenting with the Initiative feats, and I probably won't get to those levels for a while if I go the SOU -> Nether Scrolls / Shadohaunt -> HotU route.

very nice build its too bad we cant add a fourth class: fightr! to get epic wpn spec! (im not sayin to replace ranger with fightr cuz that would be silly) Its just that when you see how many attacks the pc gets with mundane wpns one sorta gets to wish they could get the damage up (which is why you have some fav enemies, i know).

Thanks for postin this one.

Peace
