The purpose of this build is to be able to score the maximum physical damage per round without the smite tricks.

After I made this build (a few weeks ago) I found one that talks about this one, some called it Spanish inquisition (it's funny because I'm spanish). I didn't base this on it but looks very close, I decided to post it anyway because its slighly different.

He is fairly weak and some of the damage should be sacrificed for other features to make it really good (this is just an experiment to be worked on), but the purpose was this being able to deal the max damage possible each round and I think he does it really well.

Its something I had fun thinking on, not nothing I would play on a RP persistant world.

IMPORTANT:
- I took advantage on the so called monk attack bug (Im not sure if it is really a bug).
- I designed this build for a world where haste items aren't any hard to find, it means I do my calculations on a hasted character with flurry of blows on.

Human, Lawful Evil
(Lawful for monk, evil for blackguard, human for the extra feat, skill points and avoid multiclass xp penalty)

Wis: 8 (we wont get any penalty but in saves for this)

About skills, make sure you raise hide to 5 at least before you start getting your blackguard levels and you get tumble to 30 for getting Epic Dodge.

You will get LOTS of skill points.
I recommend taking tumble, hide, move silently, discipline(max it during the BG levels), spellcraft(Cross class), use magical device and you still will be able to max a few more (like unlock, untrap, search, listen, spot...).

Your AB will be:
+34/+31/+28/+25/+22/+19 Main hand
+34/+31 Offhand
With mundane kamas

+32/+29/+26/+23/+20/+17/+14 Main hand
+32/+29 Offhand
With mundane kamas and flurry of blows on (9 attacks per round, 10 if hasted)

Your saves:
Fortitude: 21 (25 vs spells)
Reflex: 30 (34 vs spells)
Will: 16 (20 vs spells)

(I highly recommend you a cloak of fortification, amulet of protection, and ring of protection to boost your saves in case you find any mage)

Your HP:
Rogue: 22 * 6 = 132
Monk: 1 * 8 = 8
Blackguard: 7 * 10 = 70
Const modifier: 1 * 40 = 40
Toughness feat: 1 * 40 = 40
_______________________
290 HP - Dont look at me like that! You have more HP than a pure rogue can archieve.
That HP is very low, but you can survive longer than others:

Your resulting AC when naked will be 27: (10 base + 8 tumble + 9 dex)

27 (naked AC)
+5 (Dodge) +2 (Dexterity Dodge bonus) Boots of the sun soul +5
+4 Haste
+5 (Natural) Amulet of Natural armor
+5 (Deflection) Cloak of fortification +5 (also good for saves)
+5 (Armor) Find a good robe, you can use almost any
+2 (Dodge) bracers of dexterity +5
______________________________
55 AC

You can cast improved invisibility from a spell (that's 50% concealment)
You have epic dodge (You will avoid the first attack)
You wont give them the chance to hit first

You will have access to a couple of spells because the 7 blackguard levels (like the always useful bulls strength).

Now is when we come on the damage calculations:

22 rogue levels: 16d6 sneak damage
Improved sneak attack X: 10d6 sneak damage
7 blackguard levels: 2d6 sneak damage
Base kama damage: 1d6
0.8 damage from str bonus (1 on main hand, 0 on offhand, if you are hasted thats 8 attacks in main hand and 2 on offhand resulting you apply 80% of your str bonus)

Total: 29d6 + 0.8 physical damage on sneak attack

If you are hasted and you have flurry of blows it is 10 times that damage:
290d6 +8 physical damage per round

To be able to do 10 sneak attacks per round you must knockdown your victim (you have improved knockdown, the knockdown attack also counts like sneak attack if it is not aware of you) and then wait to see it die (usually exploding).

The good news dont end here.

If you have maxed UMD you can cast ANY spell from scrolls.

Get yourself a few blackfire (2d6 +5 fire damage), flame weapon (1d6 fire damage, I have tested and it looks like they stack).

Also an improved invisibility, premonition and true strike (it will last only 9 seconds, but if you are not too unlucky your fight will last less than 6) will help you a lot. You can also cast bulls str on yourself to boost your str damage and use poison on your kamas.

With all those buffs and mundane kama it would be:

16d6 rogue sneak damage
10d6 improved sneak damage
2d6 blackguard sneak damage
1d6 mundane kama damage
1.8 damage from str + bulls str (its 1d4 + 1, so the minimum is 2, +1 to damage on each hand).
2d6 darkfire
5 darkfire
1d6 flame weapon
___________________________________
32d6 + 6.8 damage per hit

So you will be able to do
320d6 +68 (from 388 to 1988) damage per round if you land all attacks (with mundane kamas and no critical hits).

If you have casted true strike on yourself your attack bonus will be
+52/+49/+46/+43/+40/+37 Main hand
+52/+49 Offhand

Its hard to not to be able to hit anything with that

As you have so many attacks per round and the magic damage enchantements last fairly long you can do fairly good hurting undead relying only in your weapon enchantement.

Equipment:

You will use dual kamas:
- Find a couple with the most enhancement (to hit, two +5 kamas would be good) possible to be able to hit the most often possible, use them against non-critical-inmune creatures.
- Find a couple with the highest magic damage possible (Like elemental kamas) for fighting critical inmune creatures (Remember, if you get a 1d6 fire and 1d6 acid damage kama it will be 20d6 extra damage per round if you land all attacks while hasted).

Use mage or monk robes, never use any kind of armor (You can use it while you are taking only rogue levels, once you want to dual wield kamas you will need to be unarmored to score the 10 attacks per round).
Anything that raises dex and saves.
Scrolls, lots of scrolls.

Comments, tweaks? I have a build posted a little way down the forum that manages a potential 2180/round, made along similar lines. Just one minor problem:

Quote: 21 Rogue: Improved Evasion, Defensive Roll

Improved Evasion and Defensive Roll can only be taken as rogue bonus feats. Neither one appears on the general feat list even when taking a rogue level, and even in epic levels. Thus, it's impossible to take both on the same level. You'd have to switch it for one of the improved sneak attacks that you take as a rogue bonus feat, since you can take ISA as a regular feat at level 21 (you just reach the 8d6 sneak prerequisite pre-epic).

Honestly...your AB is really low. The fact that you can use true strike really isn't a fair comment. You'd have to cast true strike every round of battle just to hit something, and if your build is that dependent on using a certain scroll over and over, then that's a problem. I think you would be better off dropping some of your ISA for things like Epic Weapon Focus, Epic Prowess, and Great Dex to boost your AB a little. Sure, that goes against the idea of "maximum sneak damage possible in an ideal world", but all the sneak damage in the world doesn't really matter if you can't hit anything except on a 20.

Steve Thanks for the comments, about the AB, you are VERY right, I already noted it, it isn't really great:

Quote: He is fairly weak and some of the damage should be sacrificed for other features to make it really good (this is just an experiment to be worked on)

I didnt realize that, I built it up on the "Novice to epic" but I did follow a different order, I tried to make the character able to get Epic dodge much earlier and thats why I did that wrong (I changed all the feats order). Im sorry .

Thanks for the comment.

Heh, no need to be sorry. It's a very easy fix to make .
