I'm posting two variants of this build one is a melee build, the other is an archer build (I find the former to be more effective, but the latter is a bit more durable). The idea was to try and build and effective build that had both devastating critical and epic dodge. Except for the low hitpoints this build is quite effective. If provisions haven't been taken against HiPS this character should do very well. Unlike most rogues, it can fight well against enemies with damage reduction but it still has a good hide and move silently skills.
Advantages
-Devastating Critical. Unfortunately this build doesn't have a fortitude save high enough to resist said feat, luckily he is hard to hit. -Epic Dodge. If the melee variant uses a shield he has a pretty good AC, so this feat does help. The archer build could find this useful if a build gets too close or he's up against another archer. -Hide in Plain Sight. He can massacre opponents who don't have true sight. -7D6 Sneak Attack. With HiPS and improved knockdown (for the melee build) he can get alot of sneaks in. This does help against characters that defend themselves from devastating critical with high fortitude saving throws. -High use magic devices. Good to provide some spell casting ability, this also lets the character use monk equipment. -Improved Evasion and a good reflex saving throw. This character has some defence from evocations.
Disadvantages
-Lowish AB. With a sword and shield (melee variant) or longbow (archer variant) he has a 40 AB unbuffed, this isn't bad for a fighter rogue but it could be better. He has a 21 taunt, this won't help against an opponent with a maxed out concentration, but concentration generally is not a high priority for non casting builds. For the melee variant the 38 AB while dual wielding should be good against mobs, against a serious threat he should go shield and sword instead. -Low hitpoints. Hopefully with epic dodge, HiPS and Improved Evasion he can last a while. -Abysmal fortitude and will saves. Enchantments, Death Spells and Fear auras will be havoc for him. -XP penalty
