Why not take level 40 as Monk 10 to maximize Discipline? Thus ending Monk 10/SD 5/Assassin 25.

And leave your final Dex at 32.

Going slightly off-topic here, but what happens if the modified UMD skill is 19, you drink a potion of egles spendor to boost it to 20, equip an item that needs 20 UMD, and then the charisma boost expires? (sorry for the long sentence) Monk 10 also gives you one more point of AC.

As for the question on drinking a potion to raise UMD, the UMD'd item would stay equipped until you logged off. When you next log in, you will be unable to wear / use the item until you raise your UMD again.

If you happened to be a shifter and in a different form, then the UMD'd item would unequip like everything else on autosave (if your PW autosaves) and then fail to equip again until your UMD is high enough.

Yeah, as Lego said. UMD is only checked while actually equipping the item. Once it's on, it's on until you unequipment it, But whenever you log on a server, all of your equipment is equipped only at that point, so if you log out and back in, the item will be in your inventory.

Yeah, as Lego said. UMD is only checked while actually equipping the item. Once it's on, it's on until you unequipment it, But whenever you log on a server, all of your equipment is equipped only at that point, so if you log out and back in, the item will be in your inventory.

If you log off with an equipped item that you should not be able to use because of lvl restrictions it can happen that you won't be able to log back at all if the server has item lvl restriction activated. At least that's what happened to me

I would trade of the 14 in strength, for a 12 in Con and 14 in Wis. This results in a higher AC and higher HPs, while only losing +2 in damage. Sicne your damage is not coming from strength, little is lost. especially with the great DA. just an idea for a little change. not really necessary, but an option.

-c I have a question about a very similar build to this one. a 10 monk 10 shadowdancer 20 assassin. If I remember right an assassin dose not get the improved evasion ability but a shadowdancer dose at lvl 10 pluss uncanny dodge 3. Is the 5 extra lvls of assassin worth more then the added feats of the shadowdancer. I know the DC on Death attack is calculated with lvls as well as intel, just wondering if the trade off is worth it?

Generally, if you have 10 levels of Monk, there is no need for 10lvels of SD. 5 SD is all that is needed, perhaps 7. In the build you suggest, 10Monk/5SD/25Assn seems a lot more lethal and dangerous than a 10/10/20.

Ariel, Ookla, RIDE! I would drop Improved Initiative for Epic Prowess. With HiPS, you should be getting the first attack anyway, and Epic Prowess will help make sure it actually hits.
