After reading through Cinnabar Din's Harper Scout thread, I decided I had to make one. And since I'm still in love with Bards (and Blackguards), this is what I came up with. First of its kind, by the way

playable 1 - 40 PvM
perhaps a little fragile until level 10 or so.

Introduction:
Unholy Harper

Highlights:
Stacking Bull's Strengths
Stacking Eagle's Splendours
level 16 Bard/Curse Song
decent saves which are easily boosted to 30+
decent (buffed) AB
nice damage output
nice (buffed) AC
nice number of skills and skill points
good Taunt

Race: Human

Attributes:

16 Strength
08 Dexterity
14 Constitution
14 Intelligence
08 Wisdom
15 Charisma

Ending

37. Bard15

39. Blackguard19 - Toughness * Armor Skin
40. Bard16

NOTE: Blind-Fight and Still Spell aren't there - one could, for example, sacrifice Toughness and Knockdown for them. Or perhaps 2 Great Charisma. I have never tried the Epic Fiendish Servant, so I don't know if it's useful (is it?).

Very nice. the blackguard is your friend. At least he's mine. Getting a good CHA synergy here. I would have taken All harper scout levels epic, getting both Great CHA feats from it, staring Con 12 CHA 16. Potayto/potatoe.
Remeber that you have 1 use of Smite good here, doing "only" 19 extra damage, but getting a nice bonus to hit, Be sure to connect that first sneak attack . Doing that CHA thing would make you lose something, so I'm not sure it's worth it. Regarding Blind fight. Take it. Remember that when in Darkness you do sneak attacks. Make sure most of those hits.

Other than that, very nice. I like blackguards, second to Ranger. Anyone who makes a powerful Blackguard has earned my respect.

The HP is terribly low as it is - I wouldn't recommend lowering Constitution.

Yeah the Smite Good is a nice extra. I had forgotten about it completely

Again, the HP is very low. If you lose Toughness for Blind-Fight you're left with 396 HP. And on the other hand, dropping Knockdown for Blind-Fight to get Sneak Attacks is, in my humble opinion, somewhat stupid

Thanksthanks I've a Ranger build waiting somewhere. Not sure if I'll post it though, as it's novelty ;F

Rest, sword; thou hast thy fill of
blood and death. Darkness with Blindfight does more than Toughness. It gives you 50% concealment, which quickly nets you more longevity than 40 hp's. And you connect sneak attacks to all that does not have ultravision. There exists more people with high Discipline than with Ultravision. It also protects you from spells. But I think KD is a very useful feat to! (Not in PvP on the PW I play, where immune to KD is abundant ) If you don't get access to Darkness, Blindfight still helps you fight those concealed opponents to. So, i would have taken it, but it's close race. With Ultravision scrolls availible, even closer. I guess Blind-Fight over Toughness is worthwhile, then. If Darkness + Improved Invisibility "stack" (attacker miss chance + defender concealment), it should prove extremely effective. However I would keep Knockdown.

Intersting idea. WHat i suggest is take the blackguard/bard lvls as far as you can (bg19/bard13ish) THEN switch alignments ONLY ONE TIME, from neutral/chaotic evil to neutral/chaotic good. THis would lend your toon alot more credibility, instead of it being an obvious powergame build, built with no understanding of what a character goes through to get to 40. Besides, the 2 extra bg lvls pre would net you 2 ab (if im not mistaken, bg/ftr/pal/dd/wm get 1ab/lvl, harpers get 3/4lvls??)

PEACE

I didn't quite understand what you meant, but 2 extra Blackguard levels would not give extra AB. This is what I have now:

8 * 3 / 4 + 8 * 4 / 4 + 4 * 3 / 4 = 17 AB
(8 Bard + 8 Blackguard + 4 Harper Scout)

and with 10 Blackguard:

6 * 3 / 4 + 10 * 4 / 4 + 4 * 3 / 4 = 17 (and a half btw ) AB
(6 Bard + 10 Blackguard + 4 Harper Scout)

No difference whatsoever (17.5 gets rounded down). Sad but true~

Sorry mate ;x

And thanks for the interesting idea comment
