I was disappointed with another posted build that had a human cleric wielding a Dwarven Waraxe such that I felt compelled to make my own version, but of the true race: Dwarf.
So without further ado (and without much forethought), allow me to introduce the
21 Fighter 5 Epic Wpn Focus: DWA 22 Fighter 6 * Epic Wpn Spec: DWA 23 Cleric 13 24 Cleric 14 (Wis), Epic Prowess 25 CoT 5 26 CoT 6 * Great Wis I 27 CoT 7 Great Str I 28 Cleric 15 (Str) 29 Cleric 16 30 Cleric 17 Armor Skin 31 Cleric 18 32 Cleric 19 (Str) 33 Cleric 20 Great Str II 34 Cleric 21 35 Cleric 22 36 Cleric 23 (Str) Great Str III, * Great Wis II 37 Cleric 24 38 Cleric 25 39 Cleric 26 Great Str IV, * Great Wis III 40 CoT 8 (Str), * Great Wis IV
Naked AC 14, Plate AC 21, Max HP508 , BA 27 AB: 34/29/24/19 & 34/29 Saves: Fort 25/Reflex 30/Will 27 Skills: Max: Conc, Disc, Spellcraft
Although some may say dual wielding Dwarven Waraxes is overkill, I really like the wickedness of this guy's appearance, and felt it was truly needed after the Human Dwarven Waraxe wielder experience . Of course if dual wielding is not your mug o' ale, feel free to drop Dex to 8 or 10 and leave Ambi, TWF, and ITWF at the door. This would open up some room for nice-to-have feats.
An interesting anomaly came up during the building of this character. I've never done a Dwarven Waraxe wielder and was quite shocked to find out that it doesn't trigger the nice 'feature' of CoT to take Epic Wpn Spec. Thus the need for 6 Fighter levels, instead of my planned 4 (all pre-epic, mostly to obtain Weapon Specialization). I reported this oddity to Encylopedia Brown (Cinnabar Din) and was even more shocked to find that he didn't know about this anomaly! But to restore his reputation, he whipped up a test build and confirmed that CoT can not get Epic Weapon Spec in Dwarven Waraxe. Odd, yes? But true. So a nod of thanks to Cinnabar for his laboratory research

He's a beaut. Well done.
I, too, was surprised to learn the bug on Dwarven Waraxe. That makes me wonder about a few other exotic weapons. _________________ Got Hommlet? World of Greyhawk Action Server (with 1/2 price ales on Mondays!)

Nice build Kal. I like it - and the dual-wielded Dwarven Axes has a certain... panache, no?
About the exotics: I tested as well with Katana and Scythe and was able to take EWS on CoT levels for them. Probably just a glitch with the Dwarven Waraxe only. _________________ Wave upon wave of demented avengers marched cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream...
Nice battle cleric build... over the dispel cap, strong saves, good melee capabilities. _________________ Experience is the mother of good judgement; bad judgement is the father of experience.
Couldn't you still manage to get WS/EWS with 4 fighter levels? You can take both with fighter 4 in epic but that would mean juggling your feats around a bit. You'd get the other +2 to saves from CoT. I'm not sure if this will work given the bug you mentioned:
21: Cleric(13): Epic Weapon Focus: Dwarven Waraxe 22: Cleric(14) 23: Cleric(15) 24: Fighter(4): WIS+1, Weapon Specialization: Dwarven Waraxe, Epic Weapon Specialization: Dwarven Waraxe, (WIS=18) 25: Cleric(16) 26: Cleric(17) 27: Cleric(18): Great Strength I, (STR=16) 28: Cleric(19): STR+1, (STR=17) 29: Cleric(20) 30: Champion of Torm(6): Great Strength II, Epic Prowess, (STR=18) 31: Champion of Torm(7) 32: Champion of Torm(8): STR+1, Great Wisdom I, (STR=19), (WIS=19) 33: Cleric(21): Great Strength III, (STR=20) 34: Cleric(22) 35: Cleric(23): Great Wisdom II, (WIS=20) 36: Champion of Torm(9): STR+1, Great Strength IV, (STR=22) 37: Cleric(24) 38: Cleric(25) 39: Champion of Torm(10): Great Strength V, Great Wisdom III, (STR=23), (WIS=21) 40: Cleric(26): STR+1, Great Wisdom IV, (STR=24), (WIS=22)
Max HP: 468 (took IKD, not Toughness) BAB: 27 AB (dual-wielding Dwarven Waraxes): +34/29/24/19, +34/29 AC (naked/full plate): 16/26 <-- net gain of +2 from CC Tumble to 20, no Armor Skin

Yes, you could take Fighter 1-4 at levels 21-24 and take WS & EWS at 24.
However, I lied. Pre-epic Fighter levels also serve to boost AB as well as provide some needed early feats.

See what I posted You basically get the same thing 'cept for the saves. Ref gets nerfed from the pre-epic class split but you get higher saves for the others with CoT, I think. _________________ .:\_/:. Nice work, Kaliban. The build is solid, but more importantly the sheer wickedness of dual-wielding Dwarven War Axes nets you huge style points.

very nice. i did a double take on the TWF feats, but then i read on. i hafta admit, watching a cleric with two DWA running at me would certainly make we want to run home...

Thanks all. Watching this build come together on my Excel character sheet was fun.
Sir Griphook - My aplogies: Please edit that the build is for PvM and solid for levels 1-40. (Red dragon gizzards will be left steaming on the altar) _________________ What I'm reading now: The White Spider by Heinrich Harrer.
It is good. But your AB dualwielding is so low that you will need to have at least some buffs at all time. But you get both high wisdom and good strength. When you face opponents fully buffed and dual wielding I can only imagine the damage you dish out.
Nice build.

Nifty job on the rework Jennalee. Thanks for posting that for the readers.

Thanks Grim. Yes, not the most powerful attacker toe-to-toe dual-wielding but the inspiration for this build makes it more of a 'Concept Build' or RP build rather than super effective meleer. As you note, s/he has a large bag of tricks from which to draw...
Thanks, Kaliban. _________________ "It's a damned shame when people be throwing away a perfectly good white boy like that!"
NP. I'm pretty sure the ACs I posted were wrong though lol.
AC (naked): 16 = 10(base) + 2(dex) +4(tumble) AC (full plate): 23 = 10(base) +1(dex) +4(tumble) +8(full-plate) AC (full-plate + tower shield): 26 = AC(full-plate) +3(tower shield)
Not sure what would be a the best domain to pick after trickery for this build. _________________ .:\_/:. Only those who have known darkness in (OvO) their hearts will see the shadows in life... (|__|) ..".."..
