Base AC 32 (10 + 8 plate + 3 shield + 2 ArmorSkin + 1 dex + 8 Tumble)

AB 25 (20 BA + 2 STR + 3 EWF) - Yup, it's a caster

Saves:
Fort 30 (39 v. spells)
Ref: 29 (38 v. spells)
Will: 29 (38 v. spells)

Skills (235):
Concentration 25 (Sorceror and Paladin levels)
Discipline 41 (Paladin levels)
Spellcraft 43 (Sorceror levels)
Tumble 40 (Rogue levels)
Listen 40 (Rogue levels)
Open Locks: 1 (Rogue levels)
Disable Traps: 1 (Rogue levels)
Set Traps: 1 (Rogue levels)
UMD: 10 (Rogue levels) (adjust this to your PW. This assumes a +12 max on ability (so +6 on ability bonus added to the native +9 charisma bonus; in that event, UMD would be 25))
Heal: 33 (all classes)

The two rogue levels help it level, get evasion, more skill points (particularly at origination), skill sets. You don't need to put a lot in the classic rogue skills because invisibility and your pixie familiar can handle that stuff. With UMD and spellcraft, you should be able to use most scrolls, including raise dead (the most useful one, imho)

The two paladin levels allow you to wear heavy armor and shield, use martial weapons, add your charisma to your saves (divine grace), give you the paladin immunities, let you use holy avenger, and let you max out discipline, which is good for not getting knocked down and holding on to your sword.

The 36 sorceror levels could be higher, obviously, but with spell penetration and greater spell penetration, you should do okay against all but the highest level SR monks and clerics. You could switch the spell penetration feats to take spell focus in the appropriate school (illusion or necromancy, probably, but build to taste).

So there. A better build, I hope.

Good hunting.

griphook ..Corrected AC typo

Nicely refined.

Your ending AC should include the +8 from tumble You're shorting yourself a little there, you've got AC 32 in mundane gear - the equal of most melees.

Something you might want to consider as a variant, if you are only going to use no-save spells, is to stop you charisma at 20 and put all your skill-ups into Con for additional hitpoints. Several people have reported good success with PvE caster builds using this strategy.

I like to play what I call "Endurance Sorcs" - low AC, high HP, reciprocal damage machines. Most often I choose Gnome for the high Constitution. I want to be hit in melee while I nuke with spells! Thus, no tumble for me.

I want my two dollars! Why would you want low ac as a Gnome? Wouldn't IKD be a problem? You have acid sheath, and probably some other shields up but how effective is this set up if someone can KD you easily and just heal any damage while you are down, and repeat when you get up unless your server allows for timestop?

feels better when the gentle corrections are in your favor.

that's an interesting idea. hmm. because all I ever use is acid sheath and IGMS

Die, Die, Die! Still IGMS, Empowered IGMS, Max'd IGMS, regular IGMS!

I've never been successfully IKD'd in PvE. If I recall, you're 100% PvP and I have no experience with that.
Knockdown is a Discipline check and my endurance sorcs always multiclass to permit maximum Discipline skill (at level 38-40). If I am IKD'd as you suggest, well then if the attacker is healing himself while I'm prone, s/he's not damaging me. My damage shields stay active as well as DR spells (Premonition, etc) so they can flail at me while I'm down but still take damage.

From the Grimoire, damage shields for a level 36 Sorc:

Death Armor: 1d4 +5
Elemental Shield: 1d6 + 36
Mestil's Acid Sheath: 1d6 +72

They stack. Now tell me, do you really want to try and touch this meatball?

The problem in PvP would probably be any using ranged weapons and maybe if you get disjunctioned.
