Dwarven Decimator

(Fighter 10/WM 28/Rogue 2)

Playable 1 - 40 PVM

This build has been done before but using different races or leveling, here's a list if you would like to compare the builds.

Gnarlic the Brute
A Half-Orc by Zhoreb

The Enforcer
A Human by Mithdradates

Fighter10/WM28/Rogue2
A Dwarf by ChristianJock007

The Two-Fisted Weaponmaster
A Human by Kaliban99

I decided on a dwarf over the human and half orc race because the bonuses a dwarf gets worked out well with the build I had in mind.

AC / with Mudane Full Plate and Mudane Tower Shield = 32

AB = +42 / +37 / +32 / +27 Unarmed

Saves ..start/end

Fortitude = 1 / 20
Reflex = 3 / 23
Will = -1 / 15

Why did I stop UMD at 26?
The reason I stopped at 26 instead of 25 is that 26 will give you an actual 25 in UMD which opens up the use of most magical items.

Why did I stop Concentration at 20?
I would have had to cross class skill points to raise it any higher and 20 is usually enough to save against most creatures Taunts.

Why did I choose a Battleaxe instead of a Greataxe or Greatsword?
I wanted the extra AC you get from a shield which comes in handy in the early levels, plus a Battleaxe has a nice critical range. If you can get a Keen Battleaxe your critical range would be (16 - 20 / x4) which will give you lots of criticals and high damage.

Why did I take 8 on Charisma instead of 6 and use the stat points somewhere else?
The reason I put Charisma at 8 instead of 6 was so I could use magical items earlier in the build. Use a Eagle Splendor and grab a Nymph Cloak early in the build and you will be able to use scrolls with an Innate Level of 4. Scrolls like Greater Magic Weapon, Keen Edge, Flame Weapon, Death Armor, Elemental Shield, Mestil's Acid Sheath, Improved Invisibility, etc.

If you see anyway to improve upon this build, please let me know.

Actually, you do have 6 Charisma and actually, a Half-Orc would get those same starting stats and still have 3 attribute points to spare.

The AB is nice, though

It's only against the law if they catch He doesn't have 8 CHA, but he wrote 6 in starting stats. Ending stats indicate 8 CHA instead.

I'd go for 6 CHA personally, and pump INT and DEX both to 14 (+43 skill points and +1 ref saves, no AC bonus since you'll be wearing plate) and also I'd drop STR to 17 and put CON at 15, then in epic switch dev crit with epic prowess and afterwards get either a great CON instead of a great STR or a CON bump instead of a STR bump for final stats: STR 32 CON 16
-1 AB/DMG and later dev crit but +80 HPs and +2 For save

With more INT and therefore more skillpoints you could even choose to move Rogue in epic to get back the AB you lose from dropping final STR by 2 points. You get a tumble bump in midcareer and +1 AB at the cost of 24 skillpoints. Might be worth it

That's all after a fast look

Cheers,
Kail

Hmmm... + 80 hp's and +2 for save and -1 AB and a Dev Crit DC of 46 instead of 48 and be really restricted to the magical items and scrolls that can be used.

I see your point and if you are playing on a world where you can't get magical items or scrolls, then I would certainly think about changing the stats around.

But there's just something about having the ability to turn a Mudane Battleaxe into a +5 Keen Battleaxe with Lvl 10 Flame Properties and being able to get 50% concealment and having the ability to raise shields that do damage to the attacker plus alot of other goodies via scrolls and other magic items at Lvl 2.

I know it sounds cheesy, but hey why not.

It's only against the law if they catch Oh, righty, I forgot to add the Dwarf bonus to Con when checking the stats. Well, I'd drop Charisma to 6 anyhow.

In addition, you mispelled Decimator. You spelled "Desimater".
