First off, a big thank you to I...Samphus and FinneousPJ for helping me tweak this build. It was originally a 9/2/29 split but that extra level of Ranger made it so much better. Sorry if the name has been used before - it's all I could come up with at the moment.

I wanted a versatile Death Attack and with a Bow and Mace I have a piercing and bludgeoning, ranged and melee Assassin. Yes, a short sword or dagger more fits the bill, but I wanted mace for the nasty undead he will find in his travels that will be mostly immune to his attacks.

He is not meant as a toe to toe fighter but as a party friendly sneak who can fade in and out of combat at his leisure. If played with some wits, this character can be a lot of fun.

I have one question, if the enemy is focused on another, can you constantly DA him from behind? I know the sneak damage works that way, not sure about the paralize effect.

Looks pretty good, Talamier. I have no complaints as of yet.

No, it will not work that way.

Ariel, Ookla, RIDE! For your Death Attack to paralyze the opponent, he has to be out of combat, IE unaware of a hostile presence. The best in-game example is when you cast darkness and wait for the rest command to be useable before striking.

As for your build, my only concern is that even if you use a bludgeoning weapon against undead, I'm afraid that 1d6+1 won't do anything more... 2-7 damage vs 1-3 (let's say it's a shortsword) is not a big difference. Sure, with buffs or magic weapons it's not the same, but I still think your damage output when not sneaking needs a little more "oomph"...

But hey, I'm not better, I can't suggest anything...
Nice to see this fella up at last. Looks good too.

The easiest way to improve damage output against undeads, without changing the level split is to go Strength instead of Dex based, but then your ranged AB, AC and Reflex saves all suffer greatly.
