Ranger 21 Blackguard 16 Rogue 3

This evil knight hunts intelligent prey--mankind.

I am not sure if I like the build or not. He's currently only designed on paper (slow day at work again). I was trying to go for a dark knight, melee type that knocks down his enemies and tears them to pieces.

Fighter might be a better build than ranger, but ranger has more skill points and ranger FE's are a very nice thing. I'd pick playable races as his FE's (human, elf, dwarf, gnome, halfling)

I went with 13 wisdom because 4th level ranger spells don't seem worth taking. You can easily put 10 CHA and 14 int/wis. You'd get 43 more skill points and 4th level spells at the cost of only -1 saves. I'm not sure whether epic prowess or epic fiendish servant would be better. (I don't know stats of the epic servant)

~ Burzum - Hvis Lyset Tar Oss I think it's pretty well AC-AB balanced, good damage, although 7d6 sneak attack is not that impressive, I would use more Rouge in epic levels, your AB will be the same, although you would lose some feats, something good always bring something bad.

I know you're a Blackguard, but I think CON is more important than CHA for a melee, and unless you like a lot of skills, lower INT for 12 at DEX Intelligence is 13 for access to Improved Knockdown.

I figured setting dex at 10 would be fine because cat's grace will bump it to 12, which will give the 1 AC when in fullplate.

He'd get only +1d6 sneak attack by taking rogue instead of BB in epic lvls and lose 2 epic feat: not exactly a good deal.

Saves are already low enough, they need no further hit and remember BB gets penalties to saves from low CHA.

Skill points are never enough, especially when you have access to rogue selection, this guy barely gets the necessary skills and he's missing some nice skills like set/disable traps, stealth skills, open locks and so on.
I would even drop DEX 1 point and take INT to 14. Cat's grace will take care of dex anyhow.

Cheers,
Kail

Vinceṛ If you're dropping DEX to 9 might as well drop it to 8 and get the 4th level spells and +1 Will saves
