He's practically a second version of my Arcane Knight of Lathander (Fighter 6 / Cleric 16 / Wizard 18) but just V2 didn't sound right to me since this is no Knight, but a DEX based Monk to avoid my previous stilling issue.

He's got all Cleric and Wizard spells (except Enchantment spells of course) and Monk's cheese (Cleave, Evasion, Deflect Arrows, Flurry of Blows, Monk AC bonus and Monk AB progression) his main problem is that he relies all his melee power on buffs, so he's pretty much screwed if dispelled (although nothing can dispel so many buffs at once), still, he has a lot of offensive spells too, so I think he's got enough to be feared, very powerful for low magical environments.

Level 40 build, but it's playable 1-40

I really don't understand why there are so few Cleric/Wizard builds, it's a fantastic combination, he's got a lot of combat buffs and shield spells against melees, as well as DR, the same against ranged, plus Deflect Arrow in this one, spells and heal against casters, as well as melee, and finally, one of the most devastating techniques in the game: using Harm while in Time Stop, I'm not quite sure, but I believe Time Stop allows you to attack the enemy flat-footed, which makes it pretty easy to hit, and then make a finishing blow or spell before he can react, only few can stand such might.

Hmm I like this build. I might give it a try

-alch Pretty strong combo, but any build with 20 wizard or sorcerer levels is pretty strong. The cleric levels give you a ton of buffs for a good melee AB and monk levels give you that cheesy goodness. Tough as nails against anything but a pure arcane caster, and even then you have spells to give you a shot there. Nicely done.

Umm... don't you need to be an epic wizard to take an epic spell? Checking the 2DA it doesn't look like it, but I thought you needed to.

I played a similiar build once, and I think the only drawback I found was you don't feel the power of a build like this until the advanced epic levels. I wouldn't play a build like this 1-40 as I've found that to be a grueling exercise, but once you get high level spells in both classes you are definitely a force to be reckoned with. The addition of monk is very interesting. Nicely done, and your TS + Harm tactic sounds pretty nasty!

Favorite PW's: Hall of the Worlds, Higher Ground, World of Iniquity. I was sure you needed to be an epic caster to get epic spells. Perhaps it's similar to the 'epic' Bard and Lasting Inspiration and you only need 20 levels. This will bear investigation...

Cool build though Thax.

It's rogue, dammit, ROGUE!!! I played one of these (went 17/17/6 for even more cheese), and the biggest problem I had with it was that it took way longer to buff than it did to finish any given fight. You seriously don't have enough quickslots to put all your buffs unless you leave out everything you consistently use in combat. Still, in low-magic settings, there's nothing other meleers can do about a build like this.

Hmmm, I think it's actually a mistake of mine, guess I got too happy with the bonus feat... I'll PM a mod with arrangements briefly, I'd say Epic Warding is worth it losing a Cleric level, level 9 spells are maintained anyhow.

Thanks Nice goings, Thax. Even with one less cleric, so what: you've all your spells still, all those great buffs, and very good use of monk here, too! (me likes )

Good build here Thax, but like you say, you'll run out of quickslots.
