These are the rules for posting builds in the Epic Character Builds page. Please read carefully all the points. We expect all the posters to be acquainted with the rules and to follow them.

A. The build must be LEGAL

B. It must be a complete and tested build

A Trainer Module will be fine. Most seem to like to use one of these:

The Halls Of Advanced Training Deluxe(Original NWN)
The Halls Of Advanced Training Deluxe(SOU)
The Halls Of Advanced Training Deluxe(SOU,HOTU)
...made by GreatInca

Novice To Epic Character Maker
Novice To Epic Character Maker (CEP Edition)
...made by Dawnwalker

Many posters find Kamiryn’s Character Build Calculator spreadsheet to be a precious aid too.

C. All builds must have at the very least the following points:

  1. Build Name (optional) + Class/Level split in the Title
  2. Race
  3. Alignment
  4. PvM/PvP nature of the build
  5. Playable range
  6. Starting/Ending Abilities
  7. Leveling Guide
  8. XP Penalty evidenced (if present)
  9. Skill Point Total and Distribution
  10. HPs
  11. BAB/AB
  12. AC
  13. Saves (Fortitude/Reflex/Will)
  14. Description of aim/purpouse of the build
  15. A tidy, essential, easy to read Format (see below)

D. It must be an original build

The build must stand out compared to similar ones because of some significant differences.
Similar builds should be researched using pulse cap’s search engine and browsing the most recent builds that have not made it yet into the search engine.
Links to similar builds must be given in the build’s post.
A build which ends up to be the same as an already exsisting one a few minor tweaks apart should not be posted. Such tweaks should instead be suggested as a reply post in the original build thread.

E. It must have an original title

Please refrain from unduely quoting other builds in your title unless you are the original creator of aforementioned build. You are still allowed to point out such a connection in your post, if you so desire.
With the sheer number of builds in our index it can happen to unintenionally duplicate an already existing title. We do understand this and in such a case you will simply be asked to suggest a new, more creative title by one of the moderators.
Chosing not to have a title is possible, although a title for the build is recommended
* Titles MUST NOT contain a \ in the name. Use / instead. This is to avoid errors in our automated tools to parse strings.
* Only one build per title please. No multiple level layout for alternative versions.

Keep present that:
if all of the above points are not followed in your build post, the thread will be moved to Build Request Forum, locked or edited so as to be in line with the rules (depending on the specific case).
if you forget any of the above points, please add them in a reply post or PM them to one of the moderators and they will then be edited in the original post

Obviously the more information about your build you post the better it is for the reader and for members who will help refine it. Feel free to include all the information you deemed necessary after the main exposition of the build (see template below, for reference) like tactics, preferred spells, weaknesses, advantages, item wishlist (make it realistical, the usual reference is a +5 magical environment) and so on.

A short story to introduce the mood of the build is always welcome but by all means not mandatory.

LEVELING GUIDE
01: <Class>(<lvl>): <feats if any>
02: <Class>(<lvl>): <feats if any>
03: <Class>(<lvl>): <feats if any>
04: <Class>(<lvl>): <feats if any> <ability increase, ability new value>
05: <Class>(<lvl>): <feats if any>
...
...
...
39: <Class>(<lvl>): <feats if any>
40: <Class>(<lvl>): <feats if any> <ability increase, ability new value>

Notes:
When dealing with RDD or Great <Ability> ability increases, please indicate the new ability value on the relative level.
Optionally indicate Cleric chosen Domains on Cleric 1st lvl.
Optionally indicate Weapon of Choice on WM 1st lvl.
Indicate School of Specialization (if any) on Wizard 1st lvl.
Feel free to indicate the most notable bonus class related feats (eg: KD/IKD at Monk 6th lvl), but please don’t overdo it. Indicate them using round brackets to differentiate them from ordinary feats, like this: 06: Monk (6): Expertise (KD, IKD)
Feel free to add a skill by level guide, but make it a separate level by level guide.
Do not trust the Character Sheet for all your datas, it is often inaccurate. Check the combat logs, better if using debug mode.
Kamiryn’s CBC output with a few little tweaks gives optimal results (set Class feat display lvl at 3-4).
