This build was one of the first I played. It has been modified several times, trying to become the ultimate dual-wield fighter with devastating criticals. This combo of classes is one of the most popular and there are many of them on this forum, so here is my contribution in this matter.

I see many Bard-builds that don't care about the taunt skill, and that is very strange I think. This is probably the cheapest way to increase AB. With an epic taunt skill you raise your AB 6 points past the +20 AB-cap for 5 rounds against the taunted opponent (by the book the taunted opponent's AC is dropped 6 points, the same effect as +6 AB). Only characters with epic concentration-skill (45++) can hope to resist an epic taunt.

Draco the Tempest (Fighter 26/Bard 4/RDD 10)

Plusses:
- Great AB and damage
- 6 attacks pr round.
- Focus in scimitar for maximized critical threat range. 30% of the hits threats a devastating critical DC 44
- Good fortitude and reflex for this combo of classes
- Epic taunt
- Great cleave and improved knockdown
- Okey AC
- UMD for scrolls and wands

Minuses:
- Mediocre HP
- Low willpower
- No bard spells, so no selfbuffing except some bard song

Stats:
Human any non-lawful
STR: 16 (38)
DEX: 15
CON: 14 (16)
WIS: 8

No devastating critical version:

- Take exotic weapon and focus in katana.
- Go figther 18/bard 2 pre-epic (+1 BAB and 2 more pre epic fighter-bonus feats)
- RDD level 21-30

You have base AB 47, 1d10+20 damage and 17-20 x2 critical threat range Dual weilding scimitars is always a matter of style, not power. The 2 AB you could get for using kukri is well worth dropping a feat for exotic weapon proficiency.

CATS! A similar build is:

The Draconic Warrior /Fighter 28/Bard 2/RDD 10 by SlimReaper

It lvls up differently, which makes RDD boni come in later but BAB is higher and has a higher final STR. It dual wields bastard swords instead of scimmys. Oddly enough it goes for Ov. Critical but ignores Dev. Crit when one could easily get it. Always check the search engine before posting!

Kukris is indeed better vs AC > 40 in this build. The difference in average damage output per round is at most 10 points (in favor of scimmy for low AC, of kukris for high AC) which actually is better than what it seems vs high ACs, given the fact you are damaging them less because of less hits: kukris do 30 dmg avg per round vs AC 58-60, scimmys 20 avg dmg; vs AC 30, scimmys do 180 avg dmg while kukris do 170 so the 10 dmg points difference is much less meaningful.

Kail
