Nature's Executor
Ranger 32/SD 4/Fighter 4
PvM 1-40

Inspired by Grim's Nature's Executioner (Ranger35/Fighter4/Bard1)

Frankly, I found the lack of AC to make the Executioner rather difficult early stages. If it gets the tumble class earlier and uses HiPS for defense, however... It's quite a treat. Devastating Critical was thrown in for flavor, it works best if you pick up crit immune FEs like Undead and Constructs. Consider swapping out FEs for Epic Weapon Focus and Epic Prowess, pushing Armor Skin into EWF's current spot. This nets you +1 AB, +2 AC at the cost of two FEs, dropping your total down to 8.

It's effective and interesting. I have strayed so far down the path of 40 v. 40 PvP that I itch to modify it to a 40 only build, taking Ranger only in pre-epic and only 2 levels of SD and 6 fighter... 32/2/6 . . . feels good, real good *wakes up* Oh, yeah, nice work.

You could also build it elf . . . modal detect. . . or half-orc, more strength. . . But human has a lot going for it, too.

I like it.

Ithacan Is Devastating Critical really necessary on this character? Without it, you could get rid of Great Cleave, Overwhelming Critical, and Devastating Critical, and in return gain 1 AB/damage and Improved Power Attack, or something similarly useful like Toughness to boost your HP up even higher. Even though it may help your RP concept, it just doesn't seem to be worth the investment. I just can't bring myself to think 40 HP and a +1 to attack/damage is worth a 1 in 20 chance of insta-death... I really really hate to not have blind-fighting, though.

In a PvP environment, I'd personally go Blind Fight over Improved Criticals. It's required for devastating crit, unfortunately.

Why Kukri? You're not dex based, so you achieve the same AB, Crit rate and (very slightly) more damage with a scim, and it frees up the EWP slot for something like blind fight. EDIT: Of course, you dual wield and Kukri is a light weapon *smacks head* - still, something to consider if you think BF is worth sacrificing 2 AB for - that or you could sacrifice 2 on your crit rate and go with shortswords.

Also, I thought 8 was the earliest SD could be taken due to requiring 10 hide? Simple enough to fix, just switch the SD at 7 with the Ranger at 8.

Other than those minor gripes, I like it - usually when I see a no-sneak SD I feel that something's missing, but with decent STR and dev you've filled that gap nicely.

Ah, right. I suppose you could still drop Exotic Proficiency for Shortswords and Blindfight.

Lame, I am indeed an idiot. I went to through the trouble to test that the build was legal and still didn't notice to move that down.

If you're going for a more or less straight level 40 PvP set up, you can adjust to two extra fighter levels and get blind fighting from it.
