Umm... Question, you're a dexer, right? wouldn't it be useful to get Weapon Finesse? Just a thought...

Also, Did you list any other builds that were similar? Just looking at the list, there's 7 that use the same structure..

Yes, that should do. Drop Thug later on for Weapon Finesse at 3rd level, and Weapon Focus: Kama at level 9 instead of three.

Oh and about the other builds like this, I didn't like the amount of class levels and abilities they provided (10 wis or 10 int, things like that )(not that they weren't good), so I created my own.

I would think your AB would be much higher than 30 with all that DEX and Weapon Finesse. I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but I see that you take 9 Monk and get Improved Evasion and 5 Shadowdancer gets you Defensive Roll...yet I see no Epic Dodge?

You also have Two Weapon Fighting and Ambidexterity but no Improved Two Weapon Fighting? I would replace the Improved Initiative at level 18 with that.

Both have the same exact level split, and I don't think this one attempts anything different than what those two propose, as there are only so many way you can make a dex-based Monk9/SD5/Assn26.

Ariel, Ookla, RIDE! I would lower DEX to 15 and increase CON to 12, so instead of spending two ability increases in CON, you are investing one increase in DEX. Also, you will have one more ability increase, so you could drop one Great Dex for Epic Dodge and still keep 32 DEX.

You are taking TWF at level 1, but Ambidexterity at level 12. Try getting them at similar levels to increase playability.

Go Monk 8/Assassin 8/Shadowdancer 4 in pre-epic for one more AB. On another note, your AB is: 24 (25 with my class split)+11DEX + 1WF +2EWF +1EP=39 (37 dual-wielding or 40 and 38 with suggested class split)

Take one Monk level late in the build so as to max out Discipline (swap Discipline for Lore) and you could drop Search for Spellcraft (cross-class) for a +4 bonus on saves vs. spells.

I know its been asked, but WHY did you add 2 to con???? to go from 10 to 12.... WHY???

Its good to see you originally had THUG! In all my days, i have yet to see that feat used in an epic build! Improved initative (cant even spell it right cuz its a rarity) is also semi useless seeing you dont grab superior initiative..

Since this is your first build I will try to help you out with some unofficial advice.

When you are building a character that you want to be "epic", try to increase as few stats as you can in the 40 levels you are given. What I mean is, IF you are a strengther, increase ONLY strength, dexers ONLY dex. This way you will maximize the ab potential of your character. The 2 points to con here DONT give you anything other than 40 hps... Epic dodge gives you alot more than that so its a moot point to give up 2 to dex for 40 hp when 2 to dex gives you +1 AC AND +1 AB (seeing that this is your first post, maybe you didnt realize that).

Now, that said, there are a few exceptions to this. Say you want to get a build with Epic DR 1, 2 or 3 and have decent melee potential, THEN you need to add con and strength/dex to make up the difference. I have designed a few builds where I HAD to increase Wisdom to 19 (for cleric spells), dex by 1 to 15 (for ambi feat line) AND strength to 25+ for dev crit (iirc i ended with 26 or 28 str). It is a hard thing to do and requires a bit on a pro to play (cuz the other stats are gimped badly), but it is the exception done for a REASON, not just to take a skill from 10 to 12.

Options:
Skills - I put Search, Disarm and Set Traps high enough to handle Epic traps, but you could drop them down to just enough for Deadly traps and max out Open Lock instead. You could also drop two Great Dex feats for ESF: Hide and MS if you want more stealth.

You could switch to Elf, and trade Toughness, Expertise, and Blindfight for Ambi/TWF/ITWF. Costs you 1 AB and AC, 40 HP, some stealth, and of course the -2 AB penalty when dual-wielding. Takes you from 7 attacks max to 9 (but still 3 in the first flurry, so 3 Death Attack chances).

You could swap Epic Prowess for Armor skin to pick up 2 AC for 1 AB. This might not be a bad idea, since his AB is quite good at 44 already.

You could drop starting Dex to 18 and pump Wis to 14. You lose 1 AB, gain 1 net AC, with a second AC point if you buff Wis (since you start gaining AC immediately instead needing +4). You also improve your weak Will save. Or you could pump Wis to 12 and Con to 14, or Str to 12.

TM Keep in mind that Rogue is the only class capable of disarming traps of DC greater than 35.
