This is my first build that I've posted, I wanted to make an arcger that had the ability of extra sneak, this is what I came up with, any suggestions/critisms very welcome. I could not find another like this on Pulse Cap.

You might remember me ....

I like the build and that you are trying to duel wield as well as shoot but it seems you have missed weapon finesse (either that or im just blind} which you are loosing a lot of ab from which i would try and fit in. Just a suggestion..

Good idea as ive been looking at something similar. You'll get some opinions that focussing on any melee ability at all with an AA is a questionable choice, but if you really want to build a character like this I'd drop 6 levels of AA and pick up 6 more Rogue. Final levels of Rogue 15/WIZ 1/AA 23.

Drop Dodge and Mobility. Pick up Weapon Finesse and Blind Fight. For your Rogue bonus feats at Rogue levels 10 and 13, take Imp Evasion and Defensive Roll. Drop Skill Focus:Open Lock. It's basically going to useless since it only adds +3 to the skill and it's a horrible waste of an epic feat choice. Drop Epic Reflexes. (You lose your level 26 AA bonus feat, so take back that GRT DEX in place of one of the above).

Level so that you take 14 of your Rogue levels earlier in the build and pick up Epic Dodge. Your final Rogue level can be used as a skill dump.

Overall, you can still end up with 30 DEX and while you lose +3 on your Enchant Arrow, you gain 3d6 sneak attack and two of the best feats in the game (Blind Fight and Epic Dodge).

It's rogue, dammit, ROGUE!!! Apologies Warnic, I did miss weap finesse for some unthinkable reason I was thinking about using scimis at first and at the last minute changed my mind and decided to use kukris and forgot to change the feats.

I am going to adjust the build and see what it can do by dropping the 6 AA lvls, but as you say I would be gaining more damage from the extra 3d6 sneak attack. SF: OL instead of EWF: Kukri... or almost anything else for the matter... looks really odd.

I'm one of those thinking that finesse in such a build (+15 AB ranged vs melee) is a wasted feat unless you really spend A LOT of time at low lvls.

In the same vein, I hence consider the dual wielding, KD and Kukri feats (including WP: Exotic) a waste, especially since some are eating up epic feats!
Now, if you went the STR route and use AA to balance out melee and ranged I would understand... otherwise just focus on ranged since your melee, compared to it, is vastly subpar.

Ain't you missing a lvl there?

I have such a build actually (tested on WoG, of course), Rogue 15/Wiz 2/AA 23, dex based going for ED. Pity ED is bugged (for now) when it comes to shooting arrows into melee (it fires at the first AoO you receive even if the AoO does not hit your AC).

BTW, I wrote down a skill summary to see what you were getting; personal taste is ok, but you've got some oddballs in there, like UMD 41, Concentration 7 (what for?), Spellcraft 7(9) (works in multiples of 5), Hide 8 points lower than MS, a low Disable traps and no Set traps, not using the skilldump opportunity on the second Wiz lvl, etc.

I deleted the skill by lvl progression because, frankly, it was rather random and confusing.

We will die You are also missing Rapid Shot (another attack per round for an archer). I also think it would be a shame to stop at 9 Rogue levels when 13 will get you Epic Dodge. Last, you don't gain much from the points you put into Str, Wis and Cha. I would drop those to 10 and 8 to pump Dex to 20 to start. I would also drop the ITWF series, especially if you don't take Weapon Finesse.

How about something like this:

You get +3 to AC, Epic Dodge, more skillpoints, more sneak damage, Improved Evasion, Blindfight, Rapid Shot, Weapon Finesse (so even if you only use 1 weapon, at least you can hit with it decently. 40 AB is respectable with a rapier or longsword). If you want more melee presence, take Imp Crit: Rapier instead of Imp. Crit: Longbow and carry a keen rapier as a backup weapon.

On skills, I took Search, and Set Traps high enough to detect and set all Deadly traps, and Disable high enough to recover all Deadly traps. You could pump them high enough to handle Epic traps if you want. You have enough left over to nearly max 2 other skills (persuade for RP if you want, or Listen or Spot, or Heal). You could drop the few points in Spellcraft to fully max 2 skills (just costs you +2 to spell saves).

thank you everyone for your input it has greatly helped me, not only for the build, but thinking about what class to take and when for the maximum damage and feats I'll just toss in a quick two cents: while it's not 'optimal' to go for the TWF line of feats with an AA build, it's different. I say go for it, as by now most other angles have been done in the Guild but to my knowledge, this hasn't.

TM ummm TM you can only start with a max dex of 18 not 20 as you stated . Again thank you for all your input, I am tweaking the build as I write so a revised build will be arriving soon (I hope)

Take Weapon Finesse at level 3. You'll find you're going to be getting into melee more at the low levels than you want to, so I'd make sure I can get the AB from Weapon Finesse earlier.

At level 6 take either Weapon Focus or Rapid Shot. At level 9 take whichever one you didn't take at level 6.

Drop Dodge. You don't need it. Take TWF at level 15 and Ambidexterity at level 18.

At level 21, take EWF:Longbow.

Take Epic Dodge at level 24.

I would move Imp TWF earlier, probably to level 27. Take a Grt Dex at level 33 where you originally had Imp TWF.

Drop Epic Reflexes. You won't need it. Grab Epic Prowess instead.

I may be back to suggest something a little different as well.

This gives you skill dumps into Tumble, UMD and whatever other Rogue skills you want at levels 12, 17, and 22. (These are the important levels for the Tumble boosts to AC). It will give it better playability this way. As well, you get the full attack routine.

*edit* Actually, take WIZ at level 6 instead of 5. This will allow you to pump 8 ranks into Spellcraft and with your +2 INT modifier, you get +2 on all saves vs spells. just aminor tweak, but worth it.

You can boost a skill to 8 ranks at level 5, so moving Wizard to 6 is not necessary.

One more AA epic feat couldn't hurt, and neither would the increase in your fort save, I would think. Going 9 1 10 rogue wiz aa would still land you with 16 bab pre-epic, and you'd have 4 rogue levels left for skill dumps later.

Good point. Sometimes I forget that not everyone builds exclusively for level 40 PvP >.> I never build for that purpose.

If anyone would like to test this build PvP, be my guest, I would be interested in the final results.
