I got this from reading the bottom of the bard wiki page where it say's "Bards are best suited to become shadowdancers or Harper Scouts." So I figured why not both. After looking there's only one like it that I could find, it would be The Tenebrous Harper Minstrel by Ythaniel . That one is strength based while this one is not.
Total Skills: 321 Placement: Regular (modified) Concentration: 43 (45) Disable Trap: 1 (3) Discipline: 38 (40) Heal: 2 (1) Hide: 16 (25) Lore: 6 (38) Move Silently: 11 (20) Open Lock: 1 (10) Perform: 43 (46) Persuade: 8 (11) Search: 18 (20) Set Trap: 1 (10) Spellcraft: 43 (45) Tumble: 40 (49) UMD: 43 (46) If I was to rework the skills, I might skimp a little off of discipline and/or concentration for some listen and/or spot.

I like seeing class combos that arent done all the time, cool build. A couple of questions though.
1. Why not save Harper Scout for epic levels? 2. With HiPS wouldnt it be wise to have higher hide/ms scores?

With a slight initial stat change you could get SCIII without taking away much from your build, just take Harper Scout epic to hook two Great Dex feats.

SCIII? What for? 9% concealment vs BF at the cost of 3 feats? Especially when you have Imp Invis in your spellbook? _________________ They can't stop us Let them try For Heavy Metal We will die

Truthfully it started with thinking how a "person" would evolve from a travelling bard to a spy for a secret organization. My thought on it was that after joining said organization they would train you to there liking, so H.S. came before S.D. Also I see so few builds that take advantage of H.S. getting curse song as a feat choice so I worked that in as well. I did take 1 level in epic for great dex. feat. Overall I think it worked out ok.

Yes of course, but I ran into what appears to be a problem with bards, so many skills to choose frome yet so few skill points.
Really though I guess after taking pre-reqs for H.S. then S.D. You could tailor the rest to your enviroment, I advise keeping perorm topped off and the tumble dumps, also some in spellcraft and UMD.

Although it is an interesting idea, I think Kail nailed down why not pretty well.

Good enough for me. I didnt know that you could choose curse song on a H.S. level.
Really nice build. I bet it is fun to play this class combo.
It costs a 2 feats and 22 skillpoints investment to be able to pick the HS class. These feats and skills may not be the hottest in a power build, but can have great RP value. Anyhow, I think you get well paid for your investment here with two important bonus feats and all the "minor" HS class feats. Taking Bard 30 instead of Bard 25/HS 5 would also have given 2 epic bonus feats and no initial feat investment in alertness and iron will, but that wouldn't be a HS, right?
You have 321 skillpoints. After the HS prereqs you can (almost)max 7 skills. Perform, hide, move silently, tumble, spellcraft, UMD and spot or listen are my favorites in this kind of build. In a bard build you get the amplify spell that boosts listen. That can be a reason to pick listen if you want the character to be a really good scout. But it can also be a good reason to put skillpoints somewhere else. As long as you have HIPS and good stealth you can often get out of harms way before you cast spells. That makes concentration less important. _________________ I generally avoid temptation, unless I can't resist it...
I like this build...a lot. Great RP value, and a useful scout in a PW too.
I'd agree about dropping concentration to just what you need to avoid being taunted, and then shifting those skill points into listen. That plus amplify+ clairvoyence/clairaudience should ensure you don't get sneaked in return, and your own HiPS+improved invis should get you out of harm's way.
Nice build.

Yes, and in epic levels you can choose lasting inspiration. Now to make a build that takes advantage of both.. HMM.... Maybe next time... maybe not.

Thanks, and so far it has been. Although my playing time has been greatly reduced as of late.
