TENSER'S BARBARIAN

"In this city, there is a mouth that yawns during the drug-eyed dawn,

During the hour of its twilight needles and its glass slide crack carried by the laboratorial pound hungry for veins

Staggering wasted along the underage clubhouse parties held every night in Acropolis,

Where the innocent are wrecked with flowing alcohol and where most of the virgins are auctioned off as victims to drowsy valium and holy hangovers near the subdivision playgrounds

Craving for a little coffee and tonic, praying that they wouldn’t go home drunk with the smell of filtered cigarettes,

Paradoxically afraid of appearing as the incarnates of heroin and lust, walking like transvestites molested by Warhol on a busy street crawling with Fords and SUV's

As they drive back to their mothers and fathers, eyes red and mouth gaped open,

That same mouth in the morning which tastes of stale tobacco and bad wine, breathing that voice which basks in the lies covering up the malice and the sin it bathed in last night

Using that very same tongue which pierced through the ears of its lovers and pierced through the shaking lips of anorexic girls wearing skirts

Climbing up boondocks of beer bottles and cocktails with vodka mixed with morphine mixed with death mixed with wisdom and stupidity and artistry and death again

Doomed forever at its first taste with the lingering decapitations of those who know the travesties of the universe, of those who know the names of the vagrant stars boozing around the ocean skies at night

With the lost moons pounding their way out of the galaxy, scratching on mental infinity and emptiness in search for reason.

-Myself (no relation to build)"

Note on Skills: This is just a basic guide. Though the most important skill for building is INTIMIDATE as it allows you to net Terrifying Rage.

Okay guys, so here it is. The product of many countless hours of attempting to create the most worthless build possible, and I have succeeded!

As many of you might have guessed... this build is focused on the spell: Tenser's Transformation. Which, as many of you know, is a widely ignored and unused spell.

Pro's of Tenser's:
-Free cleave.
-Looks cool.
-Uhh.. (It even lacks a dwarven beard *bow of shame*)

Con's of Tenser's:
-I'm pretty sure that NO ITEMS MERGE WHATSOEVER. (Don't take my word on that)

Anyways, as many of you noticed I took a few Epic Skill Focuses.. Which for some reason a lot of people don't like. But hey, I love skills, and I think they are a really important part of any build.

So...

STRATEGY: Buff up with all your Wizard/Ranger buffs then Tenser it up! Run rampant through the world slaughtering everything.

Notes: I didn't choose a school of specialization because I don't really know if it would add anything to the build. If anyone has any improvements/criticism that they would like to share. Please do.

Thanks!

I'm glad you have a good sense of humour. You should fit right in here.

First of all, I loved the verses in spite of its unrelatedness. Reminded me of my whoring days back in Paris.

I just wanted to mention that you forgot to mention the 40% Xp penalty which this build embraces rather lovingly. Also since it takes a rather long time before he gets to Tenser up, as a Barbarian with a 6 Con, his Rages are going to last for 3 rounds. Once he can get Tensers and Empowered Endurance that will change, but it will make elfie's ealry career a bit rocky.

Ariel, Ookla, RIDE! Since wizard is favored class of elf, the xp penalty will only be 20%, and it will start at lvl 5. Had you chosen human or half elf, there would not be any xp penalty before lvl 17.
I understand Tensor counts as elf, so you will probably have an xp penalty as an elf while transformed. But you won't be able to cast tenser before epic levels unless you have access to scrolls. So probably most of the pre epic play will be unshifted.

I wonder what the ranger part brings to the build other than stealth skills and the feat at lvl 5? You can get that feat if you take just one ranger lvl in epic. And you will avoid most of the xp penalty if you take it late.
Taking straight Barb/Wizard avoids the xp penalty and let you take an epic wizard bonus feat.

Ps. This is a crazy build, really something special! I am tempted

k, i know lots of builds have been done about Feats, but a spell? LOL jk. Neat idea. You need to have a LONG or ALOT of tenser's for this to work!

oh, about your first comment, sorry but that was taken years ago! I am refering to the WORST build ever! LOL I met cd once on a pw. He is the consumate EARLY master builer. Take look at what he has done Click Here

THe build i am refering too is the Crafting Machine at that link (below all those Bioware master pieces). btw, i am pretty sure that cd has moved on to nwn2, but while he was here, he built some crazy builds and also the worst build EVER! lol

Bah, xp penalties smelxp penalties. Who ever cared about those? >,>..

Actually I don't really know what their purpose is.. but.. Yeah this guy is really difficult to level up, but.. It's worth it when you hit 40, and you become an almighty, blatantly mediocre Tenser wild man!

To avado: Wow, that build is enticingly horrible. lul

Thanks for the replies, if anyone has any information on Tenser Item Merging I would love to hear it! (I have no clue what properties merge, or if any properties merge in the first place).

Also I think Ranger is really cool, he adds a little bit more versatility to the build. Being able to spot and stealth is rather useful in my opinion, but he can probably be thrown out in future variations.

Thanks guys! Why not rogue instead of ranger? With hasted tenser you get 7 APR giving a lot of attacks after a knockdown to get sneak damage added. Also why so high a strength if tenser will just decrease it to 20 anyway. Thundering Rage isn't worth the stat investment.

I bring you... Shadowdancer!
PS: I'd rather do half-orc... A half-orc wizard! Now that would be something you don't see every day
