So I've taken a look at the Fighter/Ranger/Wm builds listed on the build searcher, and I'm a little disappointed. I haven't seen anyone take advantage of how much damage Ranger/Fighter can combine for. (I saw a Scythe build, but that's 2 handed, so you only get the bonus damage once).

The purpose of this build is to kill things. Lots of things. Very quickly.

Lets start with the basics..

Visible Monster: Fighter (8), Ranger(25), WM(7)
Race: Human
Alignment: Any (Neutral is best)
More for PvP than PvM, adjusting favoured enemies could change this however.

Playable Range: 1-40.
Weak from 15-20, when players are starting to have more HP and your damage isn't quite as large.
Weak from 30-36, the extra damage from Epic Specalization is becoming less significant, and you don't have Bane yet.

214 Skill Points (After those needed from Intimidate)

Assign the skill points however you feel most effective. Discipline is useful, heal, hide, move silent, all are valid choices. You can cross-class to get tumble, but I consider most thing that increase AC wasted on this build. The enemies will usually only miss you when they roll a 1, that's why the cannon is glass.

The seven favored enemies can be assigned as needed, in a PvP setting capitalize on the fact there are only 7 races for player use. If it's for PvM use (which I don't recommend without a party) pick the enemies you'll be fighting all the time.

Final HP: 560
BAB: 30
AC: 11
Fortitude: 25
Reflex: 20
Will: 15

The saves are weak.. it's not survivable.

Attack:
+41/+36/+31/+26 Main Hand
+41/+36 Off Hand

1-4+14 13-20/x3 Main Hand
1-4+10 13-20/x3 Off Hand

Admittedly I don't have a 100% understanding, but it should be +6+2d6 against any favored enemies you encounter.

I find the damage compensates for the lack of armor and saves. Against favored enemies 23-37 Damage from the main hand, 19-33 on the off. Critical hits should be common enough, 69-111 main hand, and 57-99 off hand.

Pro: Lots of damage, Glass Cannon
Con: Dies against anything it doesn't kill first, Glass Cannon

Notes:
This is getting really long and drawn out, so I'll have to sum it up.

Can be built with an elf. A bit less health, 1 more AC, no power attack, but spotting becomes easier.

The initial reaction of most people when hit with 30-100 damage from a target that pops out of stealth is that it's a rogue, and that if they survive the initial burst, they'll be fine so long as they aren't flanked. This doesn't rely on sneak damage though, so they'll get a nice surprise.

I'll put this through some exercises later to try and slim it down a little.

I am not sure how to take this. One of the requirements is to have a LEGAL build. As far as i am aware, "free feat" isnt a feat that i found

On a serious note, You leave the build with 2 empty feats, why didnt you finish it? In my mind, there are ALOT more than 2 "free feats" so to leave it unfinished has a sloppiness to it. What others have done is actually take feats (like 2 gr str for +1 dam and +1 ab) and put an "*" to denote an optional feat.

Other than that, it is nice to see a fresh idea. That would be something I overlooked between my typing it up in notepad, and posting it here. The free feats are for either more damage, or if you do feel sneaky, epic focus in those skills.

Been there!! LOL This sort of build usually fits into the sort of high magic server that has lots of immunities available, where ac isn't so much of an issue.

Other than that this toon is a good party attack-dog.. With the right spell buffs he becomes quite an effective tool.

Aside from the fact it's an almost exact copy of The Grim Ripper

I go for scythe, while he goes for (weapon). With Exotic and the want to dual-wield that he specifies, I would say kukri for this one.

A few things. Spending Epic slots on Toughness and Power Attack is usually not the best choice. I'd rather take more FE's even, in a case like this one. Stopping at 4(or 5) fighter pre-epic and giving up IKD would give you another Epic Feat. Taking Ranger at lvl1 nets you a few skillpoints without hurting anything, really.

Rangers doesn't really have a good spellbook, admittedly, so the main difference between this and mine is that while I go for more balanced stats and spells, you ditch WIS for another point in AB and damage.

All in all you wanna dual wield instead of scythe, get some extra HP at the cost of skillpoints and spells.

Sons of Odin fights to die and live again @jumjones I use it on I suppose moderate magic servers usually. It's always squishy, the goal is just to kill a couple people before you either die, or are in dire need of healing.

@Grimnir77 I had seen that, but in the midst of my typing most of this up a couple weeks ago while waiting to get accepted into the guild, it sort of slipped my mind.

The main difference does come from, the Grim Ripper making an effort to have higher AC and more skill points. I found in my playing that a little more AC never saved me any. As I mentioned, most folks still only miss on a 1. The 6 AC from armor skin and cross classed tumble never helped me. More health just lets you get beat on a little longer.

Although the Scythe is banned on the server I played on, it still comes back to 1h vs. 2h weapons. I picked the duel-wielded kukri for this largely because it capitalizes on the fact that Weapon Specs, and FE/Bane don't gain any bonus from applying on a 2h weapon, so I chose to apply them more often with duel-wielding. The power attack.. yeah.. that's a bit of overkill, and largely a situational ability, I use it when I catch a player resting, seeing as they're easy to hit, and it adds to the assurance they'll die in the first round.

Some other things that are possible with this is to play as an elf, which allows spotting. Hand axes are another option, I favor more critical hits before larger ones though. I suppose without exotic weapons, you could take power attack earlier, and use cleave, great cleave, and overwhelming critical as your 'free feats'.

Taking Ranger at level 1 is something I overlooked, and I'll have to remember to do that on occasions I cast.

See what happens when you try to be a "nice" avado!! You end up steppin on other peoples' toes Sorry Grim, its a ranger build and i have yet to even take a serious look at the ranger class!
