Hey gang!

I'm new to the board and I'm loving it so far. I have a few builds myself that I will be adding soon. Anyway, I wanted to throw this out there. I'm looking for is someone who can think outside the box and make a cool Druid that is fun and realistic to play. For instance, try making a 'Beastmaster' type of character where the pet is extremely buffed, strong, and the primary focus.

Can anyone make a really powerful Druid/Fighter-type build with the following restrictions?

* "Fighter" meaning someone who can tank and not necessarily the Fighter class.
* Shifter class is off limits (a little variety please)
* Dragon form is not the focus of the build
* It has to be survivable and not one of those unrealistic builds where you make a powerful character and take 1 level of rogue at level 40 to max out your tumble and use item skills -- seriously, who plays on servers where they let you start at level 40?

And that's about it.

Heres a simple, easy build that is fairly good throughout it's life.
Ranger 10/Druid 20/SD 10

lvling order
1-10 Ranger
10-17 Druid
18-27 SD
28 -39 Druid
40 SD

Beginning stats
str 12
dex 16
con 12
int 10
wis 16
chr 8

Ending Stats
str 12
dex 26
con 12
int 10
wis 19
chr 8
*with either 3 gr wis, or 3 gr dex feats

Max spellcraft, hide, move silently, tumble, animal empathy.

Take epic dodge, weapon focus, gr dex 3, epic warding, epic mage armor. *edit* woops, no epic warding and mage armor for druids, take whatever ya like *

Now you are a super sneaky defender of the forest, you can buff yourself, hips, duel wield, heal, and have some offensive spells. Decent ab and good ac. Though I think it would be more effective as a cleric, druid and ranger make a good combo imo.

In terms of rping, he started life as a ranger and god more and more devoted to nature. To further defend nature and strike back at those who abuse it, he mastered the arts of blending into the shadows.

Wow. Great idea. Now that's what I'm talking about. A nice simple combo, that is realistic to play and fun. I've built a monk/druid that focused on using monk abilities while fighting in elemental shape. It was quite a fun character. Unfortunately I can't remember what feats I took, outside weapon finesse and improved critical unarmed. I know the level split was 12 monk/28 druid.
