hi everyone,

im always building roleplaying fighters who arent good but i like them a lot.
now i have this situation:
im lpaying with my fighter, which isnt that fun anynore, because i have everything, and im looking at a fast, strong little man.
hes a pure monk and hes fighting with two kamas.
now i must admit, i love this guy.
hes talking about str based monk and dex based.
i ask him how i have to build that char.
he dont know, so heres my question:
i want to build a pure monk who fights with two kamas.
the guy says it need to be str based, what is that exactly?
how do i have to build it?
and then i mean step by step and completely worked out, im a ubernoob in characterbuilding.
so i need to know what abilities, gear, skills, feats, etc, etc.
who can help me please?

kevin Hi,

Have you looked through the list of builds in the guild? I found this strength-based dual-kama monk:

Strength-based means you're focusing on developing strength, as opposed to a Dex-based monk which is more agile but hits less hard.

Try out this build in an off-line training module (like the link in my sig) and then come back and post with your questions/thoughts. It will help everyone to better assist you.

Kaliban.

i think ill start building the monk right away.
it will take some time before i have completed it, but someday ill have it done .
thanks!

kevin You can build it either way. If you go STR based, you will have higher damage potential, but weaker defenses. If you go DEX based, you have higher defensive ability, but may run into trouble with damage resistance. If you go DEX based, I'd suggest still having enough STR to take a power attack feat, and maybe improved power attack.

well i have it quitte clear now, because i have several topics everywhere.

i think this is quitte good:
12 str
14 dex
10 con
10 int
14 wis (or 12)
8 cha (as low as possible)

it would be 11 ranger/9 monk
what do you think about it?
