I was looking through the various dwarven defender builds and I was wondering why noone has yet to make a dex based dwarven defender that ends up with epic dodge and self-concealment V. Maybe I missed it, but wouldn't that be an awesome combination?

Maybe I'm wrong, but these feats aren't class dependant so you could theoretically go Ftr10/Def30 and end up with 30/- DR, Epic Dodge, and 50% miss chance?

King Harbromm You are wrong. There is a couple dex based defenders, don't know if they have all your feats though. There is no way to get epic dodge without either rogue or Shadowdancer levels, since you need Imp evasion and defensive rolls.

Self Concealment 10-50%
Type of Feat: (Epic) General
Prerequisite: DEX 30, , Hide 30, Tumble 30, 21st level, Improved
Evasion
Specifics: The character gains a 10% concealment bonus. This feat may
be taken multiple times, to a maximum of 50% concealment.
Use: Automatic

Self concealment can be taken if you are a monk to, if this is correct. Yeah, before I posted this I hadn't read the exact prerequisites. I just thought a high Dex and some tumble and you were good to go. There's a lot more to it than I thought.

So, on a side note does everyone realize that with Self-Concealment V you get automatic sneak attacks every round as if you were in darkness? I'm trying to make a roguish/assassin build that takes advantage of this but I'm NOT a dex builder. Any help would be much appreciated.

My IDEAL character would have Epic Dodge, Blinding Speed, Self-Concealment V, Improved Whirlwind Attack, and lots of Death Attack/Sneak Attack damge.

This really true?

And which feats could you see go? Imp whirlwind attack will seriously hamper the rest of the requests, I think.

And weapons? 1? 2? blade and board?

Not sure where you heard that, but it's not true. I've played multiple rogue characters with SC V in the past, and just to make sure it's not a recent change, I just tested it one more time. SC V does not give you any more sneak attacks than you would have otherwise.

Steve I've been puzzling with this, and can actually fit all your requests, tho I'm sure the build could perhaps be a better one without Improved WW. And do you truly need blinding speed? No perma-haste's?

Well, here we go:
Halfling and evil
Start
STR 10
DEX 20(32 in the end)
CON 12
INT 14
WIS 8
CHA 8

Put all ability points in Dex.

Lvl 1-5: Rogue, Feats 1 Dodge, 3 Wep finesse.
LvL 6-13 Assin; Mobility, spring attack, expertise
Lvl 14-20: Rogue; WW attack, Imp evasion(Rog bonus) and WF short sword.
21:Rogue;Defensive roll(Bonus), Epic dodge.
22-40Assin.
Keep tumble and hide maxed all through.
FEATS:
24:Imp WW attack
27:Gr DEX1, EWF:Short sword.
30:Blinding speed
31:GrDEX2
33:SC 1
35: SC 2
36: SC 3
39: SC 4 and SC 5.

BAB with shortsword is 40. AC naked 28. HP is 280 and 322 skillpoints are availible. Final levels is Rogue 13/Assassin 27. Death attack DC is 39.

Saves Fort/will/ref=18/16/36. Sneak/death attack is 21d6 which will average a nice 70 damage.

I think this build is quite playable to, more than i would have thought.

That Self Concealment thing came from where I built a few of the builds on here in the toolset and had them fight each other with Tony's Henchmen AI update. The Black Blade of Moradin was destroying people with sneak attacks every hit so I was thinking it was the Self Concealment. In actuality, it's some sort of bug where enemies attacking a rogue(?) will walk up swing once and then turn their back on him, thus allowing a plethora of sneak attacks every round.

That build looks great. I'm definitely going to try that out after I finish playing through with my modified Stonedeath. Thanks a lot.

Black Blade of Moradin has HiPS. That's probably what the AI is using to get all those sneak attacks (just spamming the HiPS exploit).

Yes, and a player spamming HIPS would see his enemies acting exactly that way (i.e. swinging once and then turning around to walk away), so it may very well be that and not a bug at all.
