A paladin gets very few feats. I know his magic compinsates for the lack of feats but I would like to get things like Improved Knockdown so I am debating whether I should take both Divine Might & Sheild. What does the community think about this.
Let me clarify - This is my first paladin (in NWN) on a Roleplay server.
For those that care here is the idea...
A Pally/Sorc/RDD (Roleplayed as a Gold Dragon) I think he is going to be fun to play with but as I mention I am low on feats when I wrote him up so I am looking for some guidance.
Well, first off, for a paladin build I would take DM and DS over the IKD feats - no sneak damage, so IKD doesn't gain you that much. Since a knocked-down enemy can't hit you, and you want to do as much damage while they are down as possible, if you do decide to take IKD and drop one I would drop DS and keep DM.
Second, it also depends on your equipment. For a two-handed weapon build, I would tend to favor DS to make up for not using a real shield. For a sword-and-board build, I would tend to favor DM to boost the damage output.
Last, since you are going the RDD route, do you plan to go Str-based, or are you going to boost Cha significantly? If you plan to neglect Cha and pump Str instead, skip both (they won't add much, just 2-3). If you plan to pump Cha and neglect str (except for the +8 from RDD), then they become much more worthwhile and I would take both over things like IKD.

Thank you for the advise. I am doing only 2 points into STR and the rest into CHA, so I have choosen both of the Divine feats. I think this character will be fun to play. Actually may be my first build to post on the board.
Thanks again!
Remember that STR boosts your AB. Low STR = Low AB. So even if you have a ton of divine damage, if you can't hit the monster except on a 20, then it's wasted.
My Sorc 22/Pal 8/RDD 10 has 14STR (26CHA), but I always max my STR with spells/items for 22STR. With buffs, I can hit 59AB and around 68AC. Very fun char to play.
