I've decided to post another version, using a longsword and dagger, but both dex & str based. So far, I've only figured out 2 classes, and want the help of everyone who complained in my previous one to figure out a thir.

So far I'm sticking with a Fighter 10/Rogue 17 (with epic will, slippery mind and epic dodge). The third class I'm leaning towards is WM 13, unless anyone can convince me of a better class to take (and I'll be glad to take it, I don't like wasting 4 feats in a build that needs them so much).

Problem with this build is that it is rather feat starved, and with only a STR of 18, it has what could ony be labelled as a pathetic AB. I know this is a potentially dumb question, but who is Artemis Enteri, exactly? I'm guessing a character from the FR novelizations (I believe I've deduced that correctly from what I've read on the boards)? I guess I'd need a lot of 'educatin' if I were to try to advise on classes.

Fair enough. Artemis Entreri is an Assassin from R.A.Salvatore's Drizzt Saga. Essentially, he would play the role of Drizzt's rival. You can go here for more info, but it's pretty indepth.

Forgot to mention, I already know what he's old classes were (fighter 10/ranger 1/assassin 1/rogue 4), but seeing as I can't use 4 classes, I am turning to all of you. Why not FTR/RGR/Assn?

That aside, I don't really care about official stats, they don't have to be any more correct anyhow. I had taken Fighter/Rogue. I don't see how on earth he can be a ranger. Fighter/Rogue assassin. I would get enough fighter to try and get dual-wield plus EWS in both weapons. assassin comes to mind for the rest of the levels, Rogue to qualify for assassin and some earlier roguishness than assassin can allow alone. Dual-wielding and double EWS is 11 feats just by that. Fighter8/Rogue4/Assassin8 pre-epic. Fighter6/assassin14 epic? Totalling fighter14/Rogue4/Assassin22.

Hm, pre-epic you could go with fighter8/Rogue2/assassin10 and still keep 4 attacks, or even better fighter6/rogue4/assassin10 if you can afford the feat. Totalling ideally fighter10/Rogue4/assassin26. Then you'd have a usable death attack too. Yeah, that's the split I'd do.

Another suggestion if you want Ranger is to go Ranger10/assassin10 pre epic, taking 4 fighter in Epic spending your three feats plus a general feat for EWF and EWS in both weapons. Ending Ranger10/fighter4/assassin24.

I wasn't entirely sure about that either. Maybe it was just meant to make him more of a parralel to Drizzt.

I didn't really want ranger, I just mentioned it because that was the official stats. To be honest, I really wanted to use assassin, and I gladly would of if it weren't for the spells . Rogue, was essentially a substitute.

No, i was talking to you, I just messed up the numbers of Rogue and Assassin in my head.

You can still use my fighter/Rogue/Assassin suggestion and just don't use the spells. But I agree that fighter/Rogue is essential.

Edit, fixed my quoting.

The stats I came up with were a little different then that.

STR16
DEX16
CON10
WIS8
INT14
CHA10

I didn't want CHA 10, but Artemis is supposed to be an okay looking guy... even if he is scary.

He can still be okay-looking with 8 CHA; looks isn't the only thing CHA represents.

I realise that, but CHA also represents the uh... "force" of his personality. I was going to put down his creepiness as many ranks in intimidate, not just being a little rough around the edges.

Problem with stats is it is hard to get certian "feats" you need without a stat lvl. In my head he should have a alright cha score or a lot of skill points in intimidation, for the fact there are many people scared of him. But to build a workable build all points need to be in str and dex. I would say he needs epic dodge but to do that it you would never get a high enough ab to hit anything. Same thing with a Drizzt build.

Well my build already has enough dex, str, and int to get most of the useful feats. I'm no beginner. I already designed a build for this some time ago (who managed to get epic dodge), but that was when I was still going to get WM, as opposed to assassin.

Unfortunately, that build only ended up with an STR of 18, which is why I want a different class then WM, to help free up some feats.

Edited By Big Meph on 07/21/06 01:09

Yea, losing the Wm would free up a lot of feats and stat points. Fighter/rogue/assasin would be the best combo. Plus, if you got WM in the longsword, Art's signature item is the life sucking dagger. An Epic Weapon Master can master numerous weapons, however -- for example, Longsword & Dagger

Star Wreck Which is exactly why I took 13 levels of WM. Thanks fin.
