I have heard of so many different types of mage builds I want all of you to post your favorite class distributations for a mage.

I like druid/monk/shifter, Good ac and you can play a different race everytime! Generally, mage builds are considered to be focussed on either the WIZ or SOR classes. I wouldn't consider a Druid/Monk/Shifter to be in any way a mage. That being said, considering your broad definition, I'd go with a Bard/FTR/RDD build as my favorite.

It's rogue, dammit, ROGUE!!! I like Sorcerer 37 / Paladin 1 / Blackguard 2, saves high enough to resist any Dev Crit DC, and Druid 37 / Monk 1 / Assassin 2, since I love Storm of Vengeance, it also gets you through dragon shape which is the strongest shape, shifter is kinda useless if you're making a mage.
