I'd like to try making a Dwarf Pure Bard but im struggling to get some decent stats Could be due to the fact that Dwarves have a -2 modifier on Charisma, which is the base stat for a Bard. So to get the mandatory 11 in Charisma for a starting bard, you have used 5 of your skill points instead of 3. And if you try to max out Charisma at the start, you will not have much left over for the other stats.
