Well, i guess it kinda depends on the world you play on, if anything has been changed.

In low magic settings, the most powerful characters are spellcasters. Exalted sorceress or similar will be very powerful, as would a near pure wizard build (maybe a level or 2 of Rogue). In melee, a high level Cleric will be extremely tough with buffs, as would a dragon shape build (unless that is banned along with shifter - you can get Dragon Shape with druid levels without shifter, though). The spellcasters will be vulnerable to SR monk builds, and the monk will be vulnerable to melee builds and the buffing clerics. AA builds will also be quite tough thanks to the high enchant arrow power.

The monk aa combo is quite deadly (29 aa, 9 monk, 1 wiz). High ac and ab, good reflex save + improved evasion. And you gotta love monk speed for the cheesy walking backwards shooting arrows move

Take Zen Archery and go Wis-based instead of Dex-based.

If ypou're really that bored, you can even use Mage Armor, lol.
Using that build just concentrate on your hasted monk speed and use called shot leg as crazy as you can, no melee will touch you.
You could do Wizard29/10/1 ive always found that useful combo with mage shields for pvp.
A dex monk/wiz/pm with at least 16 pm levels is sweet too. The AC goes through the roof.
hmm...best PvP build...though this would depend on the PW/arena itself...depending on the limits of the items available...i would put these 3 MELEE builds forward...
1) cleric 15 / weapon master 19 / monk 6 - self buffed can get an AB of 71 (from non-magical weapon), ablility to cast lvl 8 cleric spells + IKD & improved speed
2) cleric 15 / monk 15 / fighter 10 - dexterity based 8 attacks a round (when hasted) unarmed fighting machine AB 59 fully buffed with AC 57 naked fully buffed!!!
3) paladin 23 / bard 4 / rdd 15 - strength based killing machine! with dev. crit can still have an AB of 68 (self buffed from non-magical weapon) reasonable AC for a strengther (divine shield)
NOTE: there are so many great PvP builds that you could never say what is the best...and it definately depends on what you are up against...for every build there is a counter-build...but there are several builds that are a lot better than others! _________________ Grrr...hear my roar!!!
