whats a good build to beat the usuall bard pm builds out there in pvp?
That's usually AC-builds, so a caster-build would probably be the way to go. Perhaps a smiter if they are evil. I even think this discussion has been up before.

on the servers I play there are the infamouse cod build of bard 30 pm 10 though these have no melle focus they are a mean foe obviously you cant crit or sneak them also if you cath it flatfooted you get powed by a facefull of wounding whispers
but id say cleric bard rdd(50 sr)
Unfortunatly, Palemasters are not always Evil Aligned. Otherwise I would gaurentee that a Paladin/CoT can beat the AC on every single attack, using a Smite... and will butcher the enemy hands down.
But a smart PvP character will be Neutral when able to, so that Alignment based spells don't effect them. So, I doubt your Palemaster friend is Evil.
But it is very probable that this Palemaster has a low Fortitude Save, making Implosion your friend. But if you want to beat it in Melee, Harm is the way to go.
