I would like to make this focus on ranged, obviously, and use magic to assist in traps for help fighting groups or tough enemies. I was thinking about Wizard 7/Rogue 17/AA 16.
Questions? Would SC be worth it in this build? Wizard 7 is for improved invisibility. Should I take extend spell? How much skill points are necessary for wizardry skills? Mostly I am after buffs, darkness and Evards black tentacles.

Entropy is a joule thief Try using the Build Searcher, you might like some of the builds that are already there. Personally, my Rogue/AA doesn't have enough Wizard for casting Improved Invisibility... Extended Spell is good, but you'll need another two levels to get the higher slots so that you can Extend.

Wizardry skills? pretty much just Concentration and Spellcraft, the deal are your Rogue skills, those are plenty.

Self Concealment is the last thing you want if you're looking to buff Improved Invisibility, since they don't stack. Self Concealment needs too high stats and too many feats for this build IMO, take Epic Dodge, but Self Concealment is too much.

Edwin Odesseiron - Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn Thanks for your advice. I have looked at the builds and it helps but they are not really what I am after. She will primarily be a rogue with wizard tricks and AA for boosting ranged attacks. But it might not be a bad idea to keep wizard levels low and and just use UMD. Every wizard level holds back AB which would require increased AA levels.

Entropy is a joule thief So, what is it they lack to fit your tastes? being a primary Rogue with Wizard tricks and AA to boost AB is too vague to give any decent advice, since that actually describes most Rogue/AA builds.

Edwin Odesseiron - Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn Here's my suggestion. Wiz 2 will net you a few TS a day which you can scribe yourself.

I can suggest dropping Weapon Finesse for Toughness, I haven't made use of the former when playing this elven lady. Given the low HPs Toughness is a better investment. If you end up in melee you are better off taking the AoO given the fact your ranged AB is so much higher than the melee one (and add +1 from PBS), so that you'll get rid of your enemy sooner and safer by shooting into melee. Just don't get mobbed.

Good build. I never play AA so I cant add anything to the build. Just wanted to point out that in the build you have Rogue 15 and AA 23. Thanks, a nice build and one that could be fun at all levels. I see now that scrolls are how to use the wizard levels.

I played halfings with slings a few too many times and as in this build I rarely used weapon finesse. It is hit points that I needed not being able to hit something.

Why wouldn't you start with 14 con and 17 dex. It would give you a few more hit points for the whole build at the cost of being a little more careful in the first few levels.

A lot of fun in my experience. You've got all you need and it keeps coming as you progress in lvls.

In that case then just drop Weapon Finesse and take Toughness, as I suggested. With an AA especially your ranged AB is so much better than your melee one that it's almost a no brainer.

I prefer +1 to AC/AB immediately than +1 HP/lvl for just the first 3 lvls.
